Share the Future!

Dear Better Cattle Producers, Welcome back to the Donors Unlimited Share the Future Sale. All of us are very excited to present fifth edition to you, and we hope that you will find a number of items to your liking in what is a very unique, powerful, and diverse offering of proven show cattle genetics. Identifying and utilizing the best genetics available has never been more critical to the success of any program. With that in mind, we proudly unveil our 2009 genetic offering because when the competition gets tough…the best cows get even more valuable! As we have stated in the past, the Share the Future Sale was created by customer demand, and we want to work with all of our customers to further their programs as we further ours. Look through this guide book for the customer stories from previous sales; there are plenty. You told us that you wanted to own the elite genetics that you had been unable access in the past, so we’re striving to make them available to you. From cows to embryos to pregnancies to flushes to semen, we’re confident these genetics will work for you and we’re willing to go the extra mile to make sure that they do. At Donors Unlimited, “Share the Future” really means “share the future”. So, all of our best genetics are available here and we want to work with you make sure they succeed. We want your business, and we expect you to experience success with us – ask our 2009 sale partners and past customers. The opportunities and potential contained in this booklet and sale offering really do make this your Efficient Success Manual for 2009. Ask around and do your research. Our first four sales produced a long list of satisfied customers that is larger than ever so we’re digging deeper than ever to continue the growth. Our fifth “live cattle” offering is more diverse and better than ever with more breeds represented and an overall greater level of quality. Additionally, our 2009 frozen genetic offering, while still the world’s largest, is more pointed than ever and more intensively focused around the female families that have brought us the greatest successes. These pedigrees are tried and true. They won’t just reproduce, they will produce with power! So, your genetic improvement plan is now simple. Invest in the genetics you like, customize them to fit your program, keep some of the progeny and sell some of them for more than you have before. It’s that simple, and there are no strings attached. Ask our past customers and inquire about the many options available to you. We’re confident in these cattle and genetics, and we want to build relationships that will benefit us both in the years to come. Like our slogan says, Donors Unlimited is “Partnerships for YOUR Future.” It’s time you planned your trip to Hereford. We can ship the cattle and frozen embryos anywhere in the world but you really should attend to see the cattle in person. Mike Mimms flushes many of the most unique and powerful females in the business for his customers and himself at his embryo clinic and many of them will be on display sale day. You really need to see them to fully appreciate their quality and to realize how they can positively impact your program. Thank you for your continued interest and support. We look forward to seeing you at the sale or talking to you before. Please let us know if we may be of any assistance to you in your quest for genetic improvement. Chunky Monkey semen is not ordinarily available for purchase. This will be the only semen for sale in 2009. Chunky Monkey is owned by Kroupa Cattle, Boysel Cattle Company, and Mimms Cattle

Selling 250 Straws of Chunky Monkey Semen The entire 2009 sales inventory with no more to be released until 2010 Chunky Monkey is fulfilling his promise as a potent sire of leading Charolais and Charolais-cross quality to rely on. Few bulls of any breed are as consistent when it comes to workable birth weights, excellent vigor, reliable quality, and SERIOUS muscle. His first crop included several top-sellers and show winners including the 2009 San Antonio Champion Charolais Steer and the popular Denver display bull, Copper Penny – to name two. The 2009 spring sale seasons has featured a number of top-selling sons already, and let’s not forget what The Monkey accomplished in his first crop a year ago. The 2008 Mimms Club Calf Auction offered three steer calves by Chunky Monkey – out of five produced in the fall crop – and they sold for the staggering average price of $9,367 per head with a top of $20,000 on a crossbred steer and a purebred that sold for $6,900. The 2008 Sullivan/Bar A Calf Sale featured a Chunky Monkey x Take Charge steer calf that sold for $16,500, and the Chunky Monkey heifer calves are making favorite replacements across the country. The calves are born with moderate birth weights and they explode with muscle and quality. A noted club calf trader made the statement that “a Chunky Monkey steer calf will win a Texas major in the next two years”, and, by the looks of these first calves, it appears that he will be correct. Chunky Monkey is one of the only available sons of the deceased, $150,000 champion sire, Snowpoint Formula One, and he is looking like the right sire to complement THC or PHAC crossbred cows while adding predictable Charolais influence and color. The purebred progeny look great also as Chunky Monkey is contributing muscle, fleshing ability, and a more moderate frame score. There is no doubt that Chunky Monkey is a force to be reckoned with in the industry, especially as his easier fleshing, muscular, good-looking daughters come into production.

AI 11/01 to Jimmy the Greek – PE to White Lightning 11/10-1/08 – Safe-in-Calf A proven donor with one of the most proven pedigrees in the business, this charming gal is one of two full sisters to the great Sullivan Ranch standard, GK Miss Chill 602G, that we feel fortunate to offer this year. She is the last of her kind at Myers Ranch and one of a precious few full sisters to 602G you’ll find anywhere. Mother Nature blessed this one like she did the rest of the family – total soundness with real power, incredible hair, and total femininity – but this may be the most prolific embryo producer of the lot. She is averaging 10 embryos per flush with her ET calves on the way in the fall of 2009. The Share the Future Sale has been blessed by the great 602 family; they have been features of our sales each year we have had them. We’d like to plan on having them for sale every year but we know that is likely not the case. Grab on to the good, proven stuff when you can. Do we need to get out the history books? Myers Cattle

Bad timing and bad weather made us miss her on photo day so you’ll just have to head to Hereford to see all that she can offer. Her sister is now nearly a $380,000 producer with such hits as the 2001 Fort Worth Stock Show Grand Champion Steer, multiple stud bulls, a string of daughters at $10,000 plus, and a host of other successes including a grandson that was recently selected as the 2009 Oklahoma Youth Expo Grand Champion Steer for Ky Stierwalt, OK. This greatlooking young female is ready to explode in your program as she packs a great look with one of the most reliable pedigrees you’ll find. Her dam left an indelible mark on the industry with numerous leading sons and daughters including ten full sisters to this pair that sold as the featured Lot 1 in our first Share the Future Sale and have gone on to become leading producers themselves. Everything is right here – physically and genetically – and this pair has plenty of time to earn and appreciate for you. It’s time you owned at least one like this!

Reserve Prospect Denver 2007 - Heat Wave x 7063

Like death and taxes, the great Donor 7063 just won’t go away. As soon as we think we’ve had enough of her, she hits another home run – usually a Grand Slam! It’s pretty amazing, but she just NEVER misses with Heat Wave. Her most recent home run came in the form of Ky Stierwalt’s 2009 National Western Stock Show Grand Champion Market Steer that was, believe it or not, the fifth calf chosen from a powerful flush of 14 sons and daughters of 7063 raised by the CJ Blackburn family, NM, from a flush purchased in the second Share the Future Sale. Remember also that the 2008 Mimms Club Calf Auction featured a remarkable display of the power of 7063 when 13 of her calves by Heat Wave sold for a $6,701 average with a top of $14,750 and, likewise, the 2009 Mimms Sale was headlined by another Heat Wave x 7063 son that sold for $7,000. Also, don’t forget that a different Heat Wave x 7063 steer bred by Nowatzke Show Steers, IN, from an embryo purchase was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Prospect Steer of the 2007 National Western Stock Show for Kirbe Schnoor, CA, and his full brothers from 2007 were top-sellers for Sharp Farms, OH. Furthermore, a 7063 son by Full Pardon sold for $30,000 from Leroy Beitlespacher’s pastures to Copus Cattle, TX, and another by Heat Seeker sold for $10,000 before a 7063 daughter produced the $14,750 top-selling steer of Beitlespacher’s 2005 sale. 7063 puts the “Power” in “Power Cow” and continues to create success, enjoyment, and profit for everyone that touches her. Gamblers need to look elsewhere. 7063 does not miss. Dig in on her largest offering ever – you never know when we might cut these off! Mimms Cattle

Every calf has sold for a strong premium including the 2009 National Western Reserve Champion Feeder Heifer, Kevin Carey’s multiple-champion that ended his career as the Grand Champion Steer of the 2008 Illinois State Fair, as well as the AI sires, White Noise, Addiction, and most recently the $35,000 Grey Goose sold by Jacob Tusa. The 2008 spring crop also included the $14,750 top-selling steer of the Boysel Club Calf Sale that will show this spring. To date, 159 has never produced a calf that has sold for less than $7,500. The initial public offering of frozen embryos from 159 ended in six embryos selling for the average price of $4,300 – high demand genetics, indeed! These confirmed pregnancies are the only two of their kind and they are sired by the extremely rare Thomas Outlaw, the purebred Charolais headturner that died with only 44 straws on ice. Thomas Outlaw is the sire of several top females including GK Miss Outlaw M51, the $40,000 female owned by Kroupa and Boysel whose first flush sold for $14,500 and whose first ET daughter by Hoo Bear brought in $13,750 this past fall and is a leading show heifer in Ohio. The $23,500 Mimms Outlaw 5G1 is another noted daughter of Thomas Outlaw and she is making her IPO in this sale as Lot 126. Serious cowboys know the value of these confirmed success stories. Own them both - we can’t wait to see what they create for you!

EMBRYOS OF THROG COW RF5M Reg. American Sim Angus Cow Donor Sire: Meyer 734 Donor Dam/MGS: Angus

Lot 104 – Two embryos by Smooth Sailing

Heat Wave x RF5M

THROG Cow RF5M

Lot 105

Very limited stuff. At press time, these are the only two embryos in existence from the great 5M donor. Her reputation is spreading but her embryo production has all but ceased since six of her embryos topped our 2008 sale offering. Donor 5M was the top-seller of the landmark Throgmartin Base Female Inventory Dispersal at $29,000, and she has made good on her promise of trendsetting quality. This incredible donor was a top show heifer – Reserve Grand Champion Percentage Female of the 2003 National Junior Simmental Show among others – and her first natural calf sold for $12,500. And, since she topped the Throgmartin Sale, her first ET calf arrived with a bang – a $30,250 bang to be exact – when he topped the 2006 Holtkamp Cattle Pasture Sale to Harkema & Rogers who later resold him for $42,000. That Heat Wave son later was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Prospect Steer of the Wichita Mountains Classic, the Oklahoma State AGR Preview, and the Superbowl Jackpot Show. The fall of 2007 marked the first 5M crop produced at Mimms Cattle and, of the 10 calves produced, all ten sold in the Mimms Club Calf Auction where six steers by Heat Wave sold for a $4,266 average and four heifer mates sold for $2,138 a piece. With more than $43,500 produced from her first crop, the 5M donor is assuming her place as a “high priority” donor in Dr. Mimms’ arsenal. We told you before but we’ll tell you again…buy now, or pay later. You decide. There may not be any more from 5M! Mimms Cattle

EMBRYOS OF MIMMS DONOR 546 Registered Charolais Cow # pending CIGAR SMART CHOICE HOO DOO 6017 CIGAR PB CHAR CADILLAC

Lot 105 – Three embryos by Lifeline Last spring we informed you that this first-calf Charolais female was going to be “the next big thing from the Mimms program”; we hate to say we told you so. Everything was in place for her to succeed, from phenotype to pedigree, and we felt very confident in her ability to perform on an upper level. She has been in transplant for the past year but she fulfilled her prophecy in the fall of 2007 when her first calves by Chunky Monkey and Heat Wave arrived. She gave Mimms Donor 546 Dr. Mimms three babies and he sold them all in his 2008 Club Calf Auction for $4,100 each (the top two averaged $5,700) with a top of $6,900 on a purebred, pink-nosed steer by Chunky Monkey. She might have exceeded our expectations except we know that Donor 546 stacks some of the most proven genetics in the business being a double-bred Cigar from the great Hoo Doo 6017 donor that has been the source of so much of the Hoo Doo success. And, to top it off, 546 is one of the biggest ribbed, biggest butted, most naturally shapely purebred Charolais donors we’ve ever seen. See for yourself on sale day – this is one impressive purebred female – and take advantage of these embryo and flush opportunities to make high-premium prospects or amazing purebred replacements.

Her first calves in Hereford arrived in the fall of 2007 and they were a sight to see. Twin brothers by Heat Wave – one black and one red/white – the calves led off the 2008 Mimms Club Calf Auction with one of them selling for $7,500 to Bill Cody, TX. Kroupa N54

Kroupa N54 is the $48,000 record top-seller of our 2007 Share the Future Sale and a full sister to the great Donors Unlimited feature, GK Donor F22. She was purchased in our 2007 sale by Greiner Farms, IA, where she joined an elite group of donors that they have assembled. N54 and F22 are near-clones and certainly a sight for cow lovers to see – they are a testament to how truly powerful beef cattle can be. Flip a coin or close your eyes, there is no way to go wrong when you work with cattle like them.

This family of cattle deserves its status as one of the most popular and valuable in the business; they’ve earned it. The N54 donor is a strong producer with a gorgeous daughter by 3C Klikker in transplant in Hereford and a slew of ET calves on the way in Iowa. Her sister, F22, was the $74,000 valued top-seller of the 2005 Sweetheart Sale where one-half interest was selected by Mimms Cattle, TX, and Boysel Cattle Company, OH and where the F22 family gathered up just over $114,000 in sales. F22 is the dam of a number of Kroupa standouts including the amazing 029 donor by Full Flush, a $193,000+ producer that was a feature of our fifth sale and is the dam of the AI sires Johnny Cash and Double Whammy, Kroupa F22 and an extra-special daughter by Meyer 734, Kroupa 300, that is now in the Mimms donor lineup, as well as two other daughters by Full Flush, P18 and P13, that are young donors for Wade Rodgers, IA, and Boysel Cattle, OH. Other prospects from this deep family have sold with the top of recent sales for Frye Cattle Company, KS, Kris Black, OK, and Eckloff Cattle, NE. The first-ever embryos to be offered from F22 set a record when they topped the 2006 Frozen Gold Sale to Slaven Show Cattle, OH, and Kopp Land & Livestock. You can bank on these embryos to deliver with some very real power - I’m talkin’ extreme mass and thickness, hair, bone, and freak appeal the likes of which you rarely find – and you can bank on their marketability as well. The value of the females from this family is evident and the right sire from this line will breed on and on and on! Mimms Donor 471

Donor Cow 471 was one of the females that Dr. Mimms would never price to anyone for fear that they might buy her. He finally decided to sell her two years ago and she was a $10,000 selection by Thrasher Cattle, OK, while her daughter by Dr. Hook sold for $6,000 to Kroupa Genetics, SD. 471 is the best daughter of the foundation Mimms donor, Mimms Cow 71, a Cunia x Epinal combination that produced 4 breed champions at Texas majors over a 17-year span and produced Cow 471 in her seventeenth calf crop. Dr. Mimms started flushing Cow 71 when she was 20 years young after she raised a set of twins at 19 years of age that included an eventual San Antonio breed champion steer. She is as hairy and eye-catching as any of our exotic donors and she offers tremendous profit potential with your favorite sire. H624 flushes well and we think her moderate frame score, extra muscle, and total soundness with extreme Hereford eye appeal make her a great tool in Dr. Mimms’ quest to add some scope to his breeding program. See her sale day and tell us what you think – she’ll work! Mimms Cattle Donor H624 will be on display sale day

Mimms Donor 100

With a boat as loaded as this one it is easy to overlook amazing performers like Donor 100. Don’t let that happen. We do not have anything new to tell you about her because we sold all of her embryos a year ago and did not keep any to calve ourselves. Don’t hold that against her, however, because this super-freak was one of the hottest and most successful donors in the Mimms stable two crops ago after producing more than $43,000 in her first two years of production. Her first son by Silver Bullet sold for $19,000 in the 2006 Mimms Club Calf Auction and the 2007 Mimms sale was headlined by a 100 son by Heat Wave that sold for $8,250 and was part of a group of “100” progeny that brought in $24,750. Additionally, two impressive sons of 100 by Chunky Monkey have been seeing some use as herd sires at Mimms Cattle. The dam of Donor 100 is the well-proven Martin 7 cow that was featured in our 2007 sale where she produced some of the top-selling embryos and later sold with the top of the Top Line Dispersal Sale. Donor 100 will rise again. Don’t be caught looking! Mimms Cattle Mimms Donor 100 will be on display sale day

The Best from the G1 Line! Lot 126

EMBRYOS OF MIMMS/DSUL DONOR 5G1 DONOR PEDIGREE: Sire: Thomas Outlaw Dam: Kroupa Donor G1

Lot 126A – Three embryos by Hoo Bear Lot 126B – Three embryos by Heat Wave One of two direct daughters of the famed Kroupa G1 donor, Donor 5G1 is a three-quarter Charolais masterpiece by extremely rare Thomas Outlaw. Her full sister – featured here as the Lot 127 donor – was the $40,000-valued top-seller of the 2007 Sweetheart Sale and is now a proven producer of champions for Boysel and Kroupa. Donor 5G1 was herself the $24,000-valued top-seller of the 2007 Sullivan Ranch Genetic Progress Sale and this is her first genetic offering. The now-deceased dam of this pair of sisters was one of the most truly remarkable females our business has ever known. Sons and daughters of G1 include the $29,000 top-seller of the 2007 Sweetheart Sale that is a featured donor for Mimms and Mulder, the $12,500 top heifer calf of the 2006 Mimms Club Calf Auction whose first calf crop included a son by Heat Wave that sold for $33,000, popular sires such as White Lake, Get Smoked, Smokin’ Gun, Heinz 57, and Break the Heat, and a Heat Wave daughter that topped the 2008 Mimms Club Calf Auction at $22,000. The G1 daughters breed on as well as any. Most recently the 2009 Iowa Beef Expo Reserve Champion Steer was produced from a Full Flush x G1 female working for John Sullivan, IA. Also, the Hoo Bear embryos here will create full sibs inblood to the Reed family’s multiple winner in Ohio this season.

Proof of the power of a pedigree, the donor here sold as the Lot 36 bred heifer in our third Share the Future Sale where we warned you about what she was likely to accomplish. Steve Turnbo added her to his collection that day and she has certainly been a great investment. Her first son was a solid-black, stout one by Alias that sold to the Newman family, TX, and recently won his class at the 2009 San Antonio Livestock Expo. His smokey dam is a maternal masterpiece backed by one of the great Angus donors in the business, OCC Blackbird 942C. Regarded by many as the best daughter of OCC Anchor, 942C has been a consistently powerful source of quality and success for breeders such as Sullivan, Duff, Cane Ridge, and Boysel. Her daughters are always features when they come up for sale – past top-sellers of both the Sullivan Ranch Genetic Progress Sale and the Holiday Classic Sale have been 942C daughters – and this deep, sound, good haired donor prospect is certainly enhancing the family tradition of quality. Double Whammy

Due Date: 8/02

Lot 129C – Three embryos by Hoo Doo Prince Lot 129D – Three embryos by Heat Wave

It’s not hard to find this incredible cow in the donor pens at Mimms Cattle. One look at her and you’ll understand what the buzz surrounding her is all about. You simply do not find many females, if any, that combine the fundamental soundness with the extreme shape and design that 029 puts together. She was a $25,000 selection from the 2005 Sweetheart Sale where her incredible dam – GK Donor F22 - sold for a $74,000 valuation to Mimms and Boysel Cattle Company, OH, and 029 has produced $192,000 worth of progeny sales in just over two years. Her first two natural calves were sired by Maine Break, with the first one selling for $9,000, and the second, a popular son that was later named Johnny Cash, selling for $25,000. In the 2005 Sweetheart Sale alone, five pregnancies by Maine Break, Heat Seeker, and Heat Wave from Cow 029 sold for $25,000 and later produced Double Whammy, the high-premium herd sire at K-Bar Ranch, OK, whose work has been outstanding. Donor 029 is not for the faint of heart but she defies logic as the ultimate combination of extreme style and power with complete structural and maternal soundness. She is definitely a unique beast and she is proven to reproduce in kind. Her 2006 calf crop featured a daughter by Heat Wave that sold for $6,000 and two bull calves that sold for $4,100 and $2,500 in the 2007 Mimms Club Calf Auction. Our 2007 Share the Future Sale featured a newborn, ET daughter by Heat Wave that sold to Greg Taylor, MI, and later won as a young show heifer in her only time out. The 2009 crop was limited due to demand but an excellent son by Chunky Monkey – full sibs sell here - sold to Bonham Show Cattle and will likely be heard from. This is her first combination with Hoo Doo Prince and if this cow won’t deliver some smokey power then we are out of ideas! Mimms Cattle

Buyer will pay 50% down sale day with the balance due to the sellers after the flush. Buyer is responsible for all flush and semen expense. Donor 11 may be flushed shortly after the auction.

Another newcomer to the Donors Unlimited program, the Loaded Lady is loaded with pasture talents. She delivers with very real power and she has made a habit of producing champions. Her 2008 son by Heat Wave sold for $12,500 for resale and has already been a 4-time winner for the Gentry family, IN, this season. He is a way-stout one, but not the first premium prospect this potent female has produced. Two of her sons by Dr Hook commanded big premiums and were big winners as well with one being selected as the Reserve Grand Champion Steer of the 2004 Kentucky State Fair and the other chosen as the Grand Champion KY Steer of the 2005 Kentucky Beef Expo. A 2007 daughter from this cow by Cunia 602 is a favorite replacement female at Sharp Farms as this cow does everything she is supposed to do – milks well, breeds easily, flushes well, makes lots of dough, and looks great. Who Made Who A full brother to the Lot 132 donor

Lot 133

Semen distributors are reporting astonishing sales of Who Made Who semen so far this spring. Miss Who 89/33 is his greatest full sister and a tremendous producer regardless of pedigree. It may not seem like it, but these two embryo packages offer as strong of a genetic improvement opportunity as we can offer this spring. Miss Who 89/33 is a classic beauty and a cowman’s delight with wonderful fundamentals, tremendous maternal ability and, best of all, she really packs a whallop in production. Her first ET calves arrived last fall – all by Chunky Monkey – and, from two calves sold and one retained, they produced an average price of $11,500. Miss Who 89/33 delivered another impressive Chunky Monkey son last spring that is now owed by Doreck Cattle, TX and the matings selling here offer unmatched half-blood herd sire and donor appeal. Murray Farms, OH, selected Miss Who 89 from the 2008 Sullivan Ranch Spring Cow Herd Dispersal to lead their program and, as of yet, she is a virtually untapped gold mine. Her full brother was one of the all-time most influential sires in the show cattle business, and this unique female is keeping the family tradition alive. Mimms Cattle

Her dam, Collins 950, has been one of the most consistent Angus females in the Collins Ranch outfit as a full sister to Money Honey, Collins Kurkova, was selected as the Champion Simmental Influence Heifer of the 2005 Oklahoma Junior Livestock Expo. Another full sister, Collins Sticky Sweet 5039, sold for $10,500 as an open heifer in the 2005 edition of the Exposure Female Sale, and a string of full brothers and sisters have been features of recent Collins Ranch offerings. The Best Cow Families… Lot 140

EMBRYOS OF DSUL KATHY 503K Reg. Limousin Cow Donor Sire: SULL Cookie Monster Donor Dam: DSUL Maria 28D

Lot 140 – Three embryos by Lead On When you see this one, you’ll want to check her DNA. You won’t believe she is a Limousin cow; but really, she is. In fact, Donor 503K was the $10,000 top-selling Limousin cow of the 2004 Sullivan Ranch Genetic Progress Sale and is a direct daughter of arguably the best 50% Limousin donor in existence, the great DSUL Maria 28D. Sired by the Limousin breed legend, Cookie Monster, 28D has been the source of an amazing line of successful cattle including two First Choice daughters that topped the 2004 Club Calf Sale at Sullivan Ranch at $7,200 and $5,000, respectively, DSUL Kathy 503K and four daughters among the top producers in the progressive program at Etherton Ranch, IL. A full sister to Kathy 503K was a top seller in the 2002 Holiday Classic Sale, and a daughter by Dawson was Grand Champion of the 2004 Ft. Worth Stock Show Jr. Limousin Show. In addition, 28D is the dam of the top Meyer 734 daughter produced at Sullivan Ranch in 2003 and a high premium son by Double Vision that sold with the top of the 2004 Sullivan and Bar A Club Calf Sale. Furthermore, in the 2006 and 2007 Sullivan and Bar A Show Calf Sale, 503K daughters produced the $9,200 top-selling heifer and a $5,200 show steer prospect. 503K is another of the top cows at Mimms Cattle that you really need to see to appreciate. She is an incredibly massive, well-built, beautifully balanced female and, when you see her, you’ll understand why we have had so much faith in this cow family and in this female. Her only two sons from the 2008 Mimms crop – one by the ABC sire, Joe B, and the other by Alias – brought $5,000 and $2,800 despite being the youngest calves in the Mimms offering. This mating to Lead On, the purebred Charolais sire of the 2007 Houston Grand Champion Steer and the red-hot Troubadour, holds considerable promise.

Lot 141A - Three embryos by Heat Wave Lot 141B – Three embryos by Smooth Sailing Lot 141C – Three embryos by Milkman Mimms Cow 36 is possibly the most consistent and profitable female in the Mimms lineup. She continues to stamp out the good ones each year and her embryo production has been strong, so we can afford to share some of her more proven matings with you here. She set a new record for herself when her Heat Wave son sold for $12,500 to Drager/Carr/Stierwalt in the 2008 Mimms Club Calf Auction, and Donor 36 is the dam of more than $17,000 on seven head sold in the 2005 Mimms sale. Furthermore, progeny from the 36 donor almost always make the cut as more than 85% of them have sold in the $25-4500 range regardless of the sire she has been matched with. Her 2006 crop included a daughter that sold to McCollum Cattle, TX, two excellent replacements, and a steer by Heat Wave that brought $2,800 in the 2007 Mimms calf sale. Another son by Full Throttle was second in his class at Houston, and another son by Meatloaf was a class winner at Ft. Worth, and two more sons stood second and third at OKC and Houston, respectively. In 2004, she produced a Hereford-marked heifer that was the top-seller of the 2005 Mimms Club Calf Auction. That heifer, MIM Erica 313F, is a wildly popular donor for Drager Cattle Company, NM, having produced a $7,000 champion steer with her first calf and two steers that sold for $13,750 and $7,500 last spring and another strong-selling set again this spring.
