Welcome to Guyer Cattle Company I would like to start by saying Thank You for taking the time to look over our offerings this year because I know there are many places you can choose to find cattle. I envite you and your family to come and enjoy the whole weekend. We have a lot planned starting with an educational judging contest on Friday, the cattle being on display all day and concluding the evening with a family dinner at the barn. On sale morning come to an educational fitting demo put on by Kirk Stierwalt, enjoy the product displays, view the cattle, and have lunch by Dennis Wilber. If you like cattle and enjoy people talking about cattle you will enjoy this big weekend event. I would now like to take the time to tell you about Guyer Cattle Co. and the direction we are headed. From our first sale untill now things have probably taken on a different focus. We first started wanting to bring you just the Guyer Cattle Co. very best in quality cattle. That has not changed, however now we wish to bring to you the whole program. With will be featured on help from a few co-op herds my personal focus has shifted more towards the marketing of ours and your livestock. I am proud to say that we are moving in the direction of helping you as the customer more. We kicked around the idea The American Rancher last year of having a customer appreciation sale in late November and this year it is reality so get ready. I am excited on RFDTV on to say with some new things we are structuring right now, that hopefully we will announce at the sale, my personal position is to go to work for you. I think by seeing this set of cattle this year you will see that the program and ideas January 4th, 7:00 p.m. from three years ago are paying off here, for example some of the donors we are offering for sale this year and the new CST; January 5th, donors we have coming aboard for future sales. The ball is rolling and we want you to be a part of it. All we ask of you is to enjoy the ride as we as a team move forward with a plan. 10:00 a.m. CST; We are super excited with the whole set of cattle we have put together this year!! We feel you will be too. The cows and January 10th, and donors are next to none. My family and friends around here think I am crazy for selling them but the plan is in motion. It is time for you as a customer to have them and for us to start working on the next task at hand ... next 11:00 a.m. CST. year’s sale. The breds are deeper than ever and bred better than ever. The frozen genetics are matings you can’t find anywhere. The open show heifers are the best we have ever put together. There is no way we will be able to top this set. We can’t even cut them down in numbers enough for the sale because they all deserve to be in, so we just left them and let you sort them. As you can tell I am proud of them and I personally can’t wait for you to see them! I want to say a special Thank You to my family Lucy, Ashtin, & Nalaney for support in all we do. They sacrifice a lot for us as a family to run this business as we do. Also to Dad & Mom for just putting up with me, I don’t take enough time for them. Thank you Donnie for your help with anything that needs to be done here at the farm and Joan that keeps all the books, you have to know that keeping track of everything around here is a chore(hahaha). Big Thanks to ALL the workers that have been here helping prepare for this event. Special Thanks to Larry Simmons and Matt Atha on our new venture that you all will be benifiting from before long. They do a great job of taking care of the cattle. Also to Trennepohl Farms, Colburn Cattle, and Simmons Farms for raising a great group of bred cattle in part with GCC for this sale. Look forward to a future of success. We at Guyer Cattle Co. truly think that we can and will provide you as the customer with a complete program. We want to supply you with the best cattle we can find or raise in the show industry. And then, form a focus or plan that moves us forward and upward in the business. We are proud to present you to the 2010 class of The Chosen Few. I wish to finish by saying Thank You to all of you that are existing customers and to invite those of you that are not to come give us a chance to prove ourselves to you. For every door God closes, he always opens another. Happy Holidays! Dave Guyer

Our FUTURE We are offering a set of cows this year that my family and friends have asked me “Why are you selling these? I sometimes have asked myself that same question because I am very proud of this set of cows. The answer is that these are the kind that have worked for us and we are proud to pass them on so they can work for you. Here at GCC we will work on proving the next set of power houses to give you as the buyer something to look forward to. Buy this set of cows with confidence and call me next year as I will take the time to help market their offspring. Good cows, good people, good business. Here we have pictured a few examples of our newest and upcoming prospects for the GCC donor program.

Angus • Reg.# 13837927 • Calved: 2001 Sire: Northern Improvement • MGS: Prompter • AI’d to Mo Magic on 5.08.09; Pregnancy check safe to AI. Due 2.12.10. Pasture Exposed to Primo. • This is an Angus cow that I said at one time would never leave. As you can see by the way she looks you can understand why I said that, but never say never...here she is! This cow needs no intro but if you think she does then here are 3 offspring from a flush that was sold in the 2008 sale to Brian Schwindy...Look at that proof!! Also, that same year we sold Nate and Jenny Studer a set of Black Label embryos out of this cow, got three calves, then went and made a payment on their new farm. Don’t ask me, go ahead and ask the people that have already benefited from this cow. I promise that this one is the real deal. She averaged 8 eggs per flush. Selling full interest. GCC is retaining the right to two flushes at buyer convenience and sellers expense.

Angus • Reg.# 13664164 • Calved: 2000 Sire: Famous • MGS: EXT • AI’d to Grizzly 5.07.09; Pregnancy check safe to AI. Due 2.11.10. Pasture Exposed to Primo. • This is the 2nd of the Angus donors we are selling. If you want a stout Angus cow then here she is. GCC got this cow in 2008 from Keith Lambright after they had sold some high dollar calves out of her. Keith sent her in here sight unseen and said if I didn’t like her I needed to go to the eye doctor and boy was he right. We’ve flushed this cow and didn’t hold back. We have a whole litter of calves on the ground right now that you will see next year as breds and we also put in a number of embryos this year for spring calving. Averaging 6 embryos per flush. Selling full interest. Take a look!!!

Pasture Exposed to Q2 (Full sib to Q Dog). • Here’s the 3rd of the Angus donors, not in any certain order because as you can see she is proven. This bull is the natural calf of 183 and has always been one of my favorites all summer long. He’s out of Primo from our 2008 sale. Don’t let this bull pass bye because come breeding season you will wish you had him. The other proof is in a very impressive PB Angus heifer out of Cowboy Up. You make your decisions but we’ve flushed this cow a number of ways and she works. Averaging 9 embryos per flush. Selling full interest.

Pasture Exposed to Primo. • Ask anybody that has been to our past sales what is one of the more awesome donors they have seen at Guyer’s and they will tell you “Donor 272”. Purchased from Hensley Cattle in 2004, she had her first calf in 2006 and went straight to the flush facilities. We kicked her out last year with Grizzly Bear and after getting this nice heifer calf we sent her right back to flush facilities to meet our flush commitment that we sold in the 2009 sale. GCC owns her with Chad Day and as most of you know he has a new little one around the house so chip in and help out here...Brooklyn needs shoes too. Selling 100%, open, and ready to flush. Averaged 11 embryos on last 4 flushes.

• I have talked to Brent Tolle until I have been blue in the face on these two cows on what to do...KEEP...or...SELL. For those of you that know Brent he is always about selling so here goes. As you can see I lost this battle but help me win the war and prove to Brent that he wanted to sell too soon. We have not even had these long enough to see the first calves but next year we will have many. If you look at these you will see the potential that we see in them. They are bred to Heat Wave, so ride the wave because I believe it will be a profitable and fun ride

She had a REAL good Star Power heifer calf this year that was targeted for the sale but died unexpectedly while we were in Louisville. Sad day but some things we can not control. Buy this cow with confidence for your next great show heifer donor.
