When It’s In Your Blood
Welcome to the first and last sale for Hara Farms, LLC. We have always strived to produce the very best even though we run a small, ET-intensive operation. We love the cattle and the people that we have met and worked with over the course of many years. We have been fortunate to be able to learn from our father and his mentors and mentees over the years to learn from the very best in the business, in and out of the show ring with many breeds of cattle and livestock. Even though our mother did not grow up on a farm, she instilled the can-do attitude and tireless work ethic that it takes to succeed in any business endeavor, and we thank both of our parents for the opportunity and support that we have had to make a family operation successful. We have had the time of our lives working with, evaluating, and competing with livestock to influence who we are; and we are thankful to have this opportunity in this great country. It is hard to disperse a business like this, but with our full time jobs and the loss of the farm Mark winning the and pasture lease we simply must make a change. The cattle are a big part of our lives and National Western they are ready to perform in their new homes; ready to produce high sellers and 4-H Contest national champions like they have for us for so many years. We love seeing customers succeed and nothing makes us happier than seeing the judge slap a heifer, bull or steer from us. Winning at Denver, Louisville, Kansas City, state fairs, beef expos and jackpot shows all of over the country; the excitement of seeing an animal you raised achieve these rare feats is a great thrill every single time. We have been very fortunate to work with the best in the business and to have a calf in their hands getting prepared for a show season. A close second to winning is seeing our cattle succeed in the breeding programs of others. Thankfully, our bulls and cows are performing exceptionally well all over the US. Congratulations to RJ in South Dakota. His $38,000 investment in one of our cows brought in $180,000 this fall for him. Also to the Udell family, IA. They sold another $77,000 female from their Denver Champion they purchased from us awhile back. That cow has now had a daughter sell for more than $60,000 three years in a row and this year alone brought in over $125,000 on three head. These are just two examples that come to mind from recent sales; there are many more and we are proud of each of them. We will always be involved in the cattle business. Watching the shows, trying to place the classes, and learning about the genetics behind the cattle that excel; those things will not leave us. We have some cattle in partnership that we will still be able to participate with on a small scale and give us a reason to travel to watch the shows and meet new friends in this great business.
Jeff demonstrating ET in 4-H

Hara’s King Meyer
From the combination that started it all, here is a very exciting full sister to greats like Miss America, Miss Universe, King Meyer, Miss Meyer, and the Triple Crown winner, Hara’s Miss USA. Those cows all went on to achieve great things like the production of AI sires, winning steers, elite heifers, and top production donors that even surpassed them; they built the pedigrees that a lot of the Hara Farms success was built on. Still very young, this docile cow is everything you think she might be. Great stuff.

Sire: OSU CURRENCY (AN) Dam: HAIRETTA 9145J by Who Made Who
Due to calve March 22 to Silveira Hara Primal A knockout on the hoof and in terms of productivity, this unique beauty is well proven and a favorite in the herd. So far, she is the dam of a Broker daughter selling for $30,000 and a Relentless heifer at $15,000; both from natural calves. She is the perfect “tweener” for steers or heifers and sells bred to the exciting new Primal bull that is attracting lots of attention on the show road now. Dear Friends and Cattleman, November 29th is going to be a big day but to be honest I’d rather be unemployed that day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be a lot of fun to sell Hara’s cows but I’d much rather they kept them and kept right on raising the awesome stuff I have been selling for them since 1993. The Hara family and their cattle have been big parts of my business over the years and I hate to see them pull in the reins so much, but things change, circumstances change, and decisions need to be made. Jeff and Mark have decided to sell their cattle inventory and I will do my best to help them, unless I can talk them into changing their minds first. Seriously though, November 29 represents great opportunities for so many folks in our business. All dispersions of high-quality herds create opportunities but this one is special. This is your chance to access the best cows from the best lines in one of the most potent herds in the business. The Hara herd is small but very mighty. I challenge you to name another herd that raises such a high percentage of national winners in multiple breeds over so many years. It is impressive to say the least, and I know many of these cattle are going to make large and lasting impacts on progressive herds going forward. There is big, big opportunity in this offering – the kind that makes programs. You don’t have to look hard to find shining examples of Hara cattle excelling in admirable herds across the USA. Thank you to Green Oak Farm for lending us their awesome sale facility for this event, and a huge thank you to Opie, Kayla, and the Campbellco crew for their first-class assistance in prepping the stock; you’re the best! The cattle look great in this book but they’re so much more impressive in person. I sure hope you can join us to see for yourself. It’ll be a great weekend. Lots to see and do. I really want to see you at the auction but if you cannot attend, I will be very happy to send you some great stock from this herd. Please let me know if I can help.
