Lot 1

1 LUCAS 732 Female Calved: 3/15/2011

SIRE: WHO MADE WHO DAM: MEYER 734 X ANGUS Sells open with three embryos by Here I Am A fitting place to start is with this great cow out of a great cow The dam of this high-production, proven feature was the Lot 1 lead off cow of our 2009 sale so it’s only fitting that her best daughter is our Lot 1 cow this time. Her mother sold to Greenhorn Cattle, OH, after raising several winners for us and, together, this cow family has been nothing but good to us. With Dam of Lot 1 nothing held back, this is the good stuff and it will treat you well if you give it just a little love. This cow has raised several heifers and steers that have won multiple jackpots. Her 2013 bull calf sold to Shane Show Cattle, OH, for resale, and her 2014 heifer was Champion Heifer at the Morgan Co (OH) Fair. She raised a bull in 2015 that went to Young Livestock, TX, and was later a steer class winner at the Missouri State Fair in 2016 when she also had a heifer that was a 4-time Grand or Reserve Champion for Paisley Russell. Her 2017 steers include a 5th Overall at Pike County, 5th Overall at Athens County, 9th Overall at Gallia County in 2018, and Reserve Champion at the 2017 Ohio Feeder Calf Roundup. She can really raise winners. A son by Here I am brought $6000 this spring and should continue the streak for this family. This cow works because she is built right and bred right. This cow family produces striking style, proper size, and great hair that you can rely on. 8 daughters sell here from this cow that has averaged 15 embryos/flush over 4 attempts.

AI 4/12 to Holy Smoker – PE 5/15-8/01 to Frisky Whiskey – Checked 3.5 mos safe on 09/18/2018 One of the most popular and very best on the place, this blue roan powerhouse descends from very proven stock and she is ultra-proven herself. She is the dam of the $50,500 high seller purchased by Matt Lautner, IA, here in 2017 plus a big lineup of other outstanding calves. Her 2013 daughter won 12 jackpot shows, her 2014 bull calf was a champion and was retained for in-herd use, and her 2015 daughter was Champion Maine-Anjou of the West Virginia State Fair, Reserve Grand Overall in the Southern Ohio Showdown, and a 5-time jackpot champion for Olivia McHale, WV. Another son from 2017 was Grand Champion Prospect of the Ross Co (OH) Fair, and 4 more daughters sell here. This cow has been flushed 4 times for a 10 egg average and she looks better than ever. We really hate to see them all go but especially this ultra-powerful one whose dam was a feature of our 2009 cow sale. This cow is a turn-key, fail-safe option that anyone can make work. You will love her and her daughters because they deliver the extreme results you need.

Quite simply this is our favorite heifer we have ever raised! She was a 5-time jackpot Grand Champion plus Champion Maine at the WV State Fair and Reserve Champion Heifer Overall of the Southern Ohio Showdown. Her maternal brother brought $50,500 and we used the first son of this cow to clean up our heifers. She should make an amazing cow – like her mother and grandmother.

AI 4/12 to Fu Man Chu – PE 5/15-8/01 to Frisky Whiskey – Checked 5 mos safe on 09/18/2018 This is a gorgeous cow that delivers big time! She works even better than she looks and we know there are very few cows you can say that about. Both her dam and her equally impressive second dam were the high-selling features of the 2015 Holiday Classic Sale, and we are sure glad we landed this one. This cow has a rare combination of power, function, and class which she has passed to each of her calves. She was the 2013 Ohio State Fair Grand Champion Maine-Anjou Heifer and later Champion Bred & Owned Female at Louisville that fall, and her calves have been winners for us as well. Her 2016 daughter sells here and was Champion Market Heifer of the Yooper Classic and the Paul DeLong Memorial, Reserve Market Heifer at the MSU AGR Preview, Third Overall Market Heifer of the 2016 MI Winter Classic, and Reserve Champion Commercial of the UP State Fair. Another good daughter sells as Lot Lot 3A, we kept a son by Broker that sells here also, plus her son by Fu Man Chu brought $6,500 this spring (she is rebred for a full sib). We have flushed this outcross donor 3 times for a 6 embryo average and several sell here also. It’s hard for a cow to be any better than this one has been.
