An awesome female and one of the most-productive daughters of Serena 74Y, this loveable cow was a feature of our first Top 10 Sale where Becci McGrady, IN, selected one-half interest. Later selected as the 5th Overall Female of the 2016 Indiana State Junior Fair in one of her only times shown, 4174 then became a very productive donor. She is the dam of Lot A Relentless x Lot A several favorites with her best being a $20,000 daughter of Relentless – she will have a full sibling on her at sale time - that was raised from an embryo purchase and sold to Russell Land & Cattle, IL, in the 2018 edition of this sale. Her sons were among our top sellers in our 2018 bull sale, and more daughters are working in several states. This cow has been a favorite of our genetics sales as well and she looks as good as ever. This is a tough choice. OWNED WITH BECCI MCGRADY, IN

The spring and summer of 2020 were trying times for so many around the world. So much so that it made our troubles seem small, but we certainly faced our share of bumps in the road around here. For starters, our longtime herdsman, Thomas Lundy, moved away from us last winter and then this spring we lost more good help in the form of Ty Barber who was with us for more than a year. Young people grow up and move on, but we miss those guys and are happy we are still in touch with them both.

Welcome to Trennepohl Farms!
Next, on a tougher note, both my Dad and my brother, Jeff, took ill this summer due to some serious complications from some medical procedures. It was tough sledding for a while, but I am happy report that both are doing well and getting stronger each day. I am sure they’ll will do all they can to join us at the auction if they have any say in it. Either way, your prayers, calls, letters, and texts were surely appreciated by all of us, thank you so much. Thankfully, the COVID layoff brought Adrianne and Claire home to us to help with the work and keep things light around the house. Joe Kleine, Adrianne’s boyfriend, has been an awesome addition to the team and has done a spectacular job prepping this set of cattle; there is no way we could have gotten this far without him or them. Also, I’ve had some great help from Dan May and my brother, Tim, at harvest time, and it has been a real joy to work the fields with my nephews, Quinton and Jacob; both are excellent hands. I hope you’ll be our guests on the farm and enjoy this set of cattle we will present this season. They are the best we have ever offered in each category and I will be proud to send them anywhere. We have been at this a long time now and we have learned the kind that we need to offer to keep your business. Please call or stop by, your interest and business will be greatly appreciated. Best Wishes, Scott & Judy Trennepohl & Family

The full sister to our immortal Serena 74Y, this favorite cow is quite a specimen – a rare find for sure. She worked in the shadows for a while but her production has brought her to the front of the line over the years, and she has proven herself to be a leader. Her 2019 and 2020 crops have been especially strong – some excellent bulls were popular the last two years and three of her daughters averaged $3,267 on our Early Opportunity Sale this fall – and we are excited by this coming mating to Forman, our top-selling selection from the 2020 Gateway Sale that has already been named champion a few times. This cow is as impressive and powerful as they come and her performance has been hard to fault. She has the ability and notable pedigree to lead many programs. Another strong daughter sells here also.

The power and potential you expect from a cow as impressive as her mother, this heifer is an efficient performer with great balance, length of spine, and capacity. Her pretty head and neck blends with a surprisingly wide base and her attitude is excellent. She is a full sister in-blood to the trio of heifers that averaged $16,167 in our 2019 Right by Design plus the $10,000 heifer that the Nemcovic family, FL, purchased in our 2019 Top 10 Sale that won several times last season.

A knockout from “Lila” D74! This kind of quality is what we hoped for – and expected – from her dam that was a $100,000 heifer calf and later a calf division winner in Louisville and Denver before being named Reserve Grand Champion of the AJSA National Classic. This heifer is so good in her lines, balance, and movement and she has that “look at me” demeanor. An older sister by Hammer Time was the $37,000 top calf of our 2019 Right by Design Sale, her flush brother topped our 2020 bull sale at a $17,000 valuation, and Lila has another great calf on her side now. This deal just works and D74 “Lila” is establishing herself as the most successful daughter of Serena 74Y in production today!

A great opportunity here to own an elite female right out of our show string and a wonderfully productive cow family! This super-complete package was raised by our great friends Jim & Laura Russell, IL, out of a female they purchased through this sale in 2018. That heifer was Grand Champion Purebred of the 2018 Dixie National and this heifer – her first calf - was Grand Champion of the 2020 Dixie National – a feat seldom if ever achieved before. This heifer was also elected as a Reserve Division Champion of the 2020 AJSA National Classic for Claire Trennepohl in her last year. It goes without saying, but replacement females like this are rarely for sale but a maternal sister to her dam sells here as Lot 103. OWNED WITH RUSSELL LAND & CATTLE, IL

From the Black Star tribe and a daughter of a $40,000 feature of a past Denver One Sale, this is a cool package. Notice her immense body shape that she blends with a soft leg, high-quality udder, and a cool neck set. You can see quality here, and a flush sells from her grandmother in our genetics lineup.

The Bear was a popular winner from our 2016-2017 show string, and her first daughter was a winner for Camryn Clapp, IN, with banners like Reserve Simmental at the Hoosier Congress and Supreme Female of the 2018 Parke Co (IN) Fair. We sold her first flush to Chad Gordon, OK, who promptly sold a pair of pregnancies for a $7,500 average. A son was the $11,500 top full-interest bull of our 2020 bull sale and his full sister brought $7,1000 to Maury Kaiser, IN, in our recent Early Opportunity Sale.
