GROWTH GROUPS

With the Lenten Season upon us, now is a great time to get involved in a Growth Group! Growth Groups offer a time to dive deeper into the themes of the sermon series, as a group, allowing a thorough exploration of faith through dialogue and fellowship. There are several year-round Growth Groups to call home, as well as a Seasonal Group for the season of Lent. To find out more about Growth Groups or sign up, please reach out to Pastor Tayler (tayler@princetonumc.org).

Call to Worship

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling

Prayer of Confession

UMH #384

Loving God, we confess that our lives are choked and tangled in sin, separation, and brokenness. We call you Lord, but we do not live according to your teaching or your love. We are quick to point out the faults of others, but struggle to see our own so clearly. We treasure things that do not truly bring us to life. Forgive us, we pray. Redeem us, restore us, recreate us by your grace, and hear us as we continue to pray. . .

silence for prayer

When God could give up on us, God forgives us! When God could reject us, God accepts us! When God could forget us, God remembers us! Death has no more power over us; death no longer reigns over us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Amen.

SHARING IN WORSHIP TODAY

Rev. Jenny Smith Walz

Hymn

We try to live as disciples of Jesus, but we know how quickly, even in the twinkling of an eye, we can lose our way. Let us confess, with words and in silence, to the One who longs to make us glad. Let us pray together saying,

Words of Assurance

Sermon

TO RESPOND IN FAITH

It is good to sing songs of joy and wonder to our God. We join our voices with all creation bursting into praises. It is good to tell of God’s love each morning, to remember God’s faithfulness each evening. It is good to have our lives grounded in God’s grace, to continue to live in God to the end of our days.

BY PAM AND GENE NUGENT

The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen Offertory
