Call to Worship
adapted from Tim Graves
Out of a world of cut-throat competition, of winners and losers, and too many left behind we come together. The world’s ways are not our ways. The world’s ways are not Christ’s ways.
Come and worship the One whose love knows no limits! Swim and splash in the cleansing waters of divine community! Resurrect your spirits and souls in worship of the One! Praise be to the Everlasting One!

Prayer of Confession
UMH #98
adapted from Steve Garnaas-Holmes and Thom Shuman
Confession is a vulnerable act. It can be painful and exposing to look with clear eyes at ourselves and name what we see before God and one another. It is an act of trust in God's mercy and hope. It's an act of connection to the one who takes every offering, even our confessions, and blesses them. So let us confess together. Holy God, fountain of life, my love, my deepest hope, and only treasure: strip me of all that I cling to but you, that I may come to you empty-handed. I will be poor for you; I will be hungry for you. I will bring you no riches, no wealth with which to buy your love. I open to you the simple treasure chest of my heart. I yield all to you, that I may be yours. Make me your treasure, yours and none other’s. silence for prayer Words of Assurance Hear the good news! Because God loves us, we lack for nothing; because God forgives us, we have everything we need; In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God! Alleluia! Amen.

Prayers of the People The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kin-dom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kin-dom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Offertory
