- THE KILN
Themed library in Ma Wan Chung -
The kiln Location : Ma Wan Chung Type : Themed Library Program Size : 3000 m2
The concept the design is the Kiln. Kiln used to has a high value to the village as it convert oyster shells and dead corals into lime powder that can be use in multiple industry in the pass - farming, fishing or as building material. The kiln itself is representing the best days and the success of Man Wan Chung Village as a fishing village. However due the environmental issues and development in the town, kiln lost it value to the village. Therefore my concept is to re-invent the kiln and incorporate it historical background and physical features into the library in order to give the klin a new meaning to the village and also make the kiln as the symbol of Man Wan chung

- CULTURE CONVERGENCE A place of Collective Living -
Culture Convergence Location : Shui Pin Tsuen [水邊村], Yuen Long Type : Collective Housing Program Size : 4000 m2
The site for the design is opposit to Shui Pin Tsuen (水邊 村) where is used to be part of it . Due to the urban development, most of the land and rivers around that area has been reclaimed or redeveloped into recreational areas and community infrastructure. Hence the unique culture and traditional custom were lost. Therefore my concept of the design is to bring these back to Yuen Long by in-cooperating these traditional elements into my design. My Goal is to create an luxurious atomsphere for the residents, but at the same time introduce cultural moments to the,by having temporary wet markets and a public square to celebrate culture activities.

- COMPETITIONS -
- Competition Between 2012 - 2015 , I have participated three competitions, include Disney ImagiNation Design Competition 2014 in a team of four architectural students, Daegu Citizen Gymnasium Competition and Supercity Masterplan, Shenzhen during my intern practice in VOX Atelier.
28
- NEVERLAND Disney ImagiNation Design Competition -
Neverland Location : Disney Land, Shore of Lantau Island Type : Theme Park - Entertainments Award : 2nd - Runner Up Team members : Wendy Cheung, Ip Kwun Lun, Fiona Yung, Prisca Ho
The inspiration character for our theme park was Captain Hook from Peter Pan. We took Captain hook’s unique identity and his extraordinary adventures as a starting point and decided to create a place for people to enjoy the journey of exploration and excitement from the pirate’s adventures. Our island are divided into four regions- Cave, Forest, the Vortex, Pixie Hollow. These four regions are articulated with passive simulations and active involvements in order to enhance the experience.

The Happy D project is a collaboration with HKDC and HKDL that aim to connect local community with happiness through design and imagination. For our team we noticed a social phenomenon of lack of communication between people, Hence we want to create a media that could encourage people to communicate and interact with the others by two simple action - speak and listen.
