Make a Difference for Incarcerated Mothers by Jere Mahaffey Did you know that 65 percent of women in state prisons are mothers of children under 18 years old? Many mothers this Mother’s Day will be celebrating from prison cells. Jesus calls his followers to show the love of God to those in prison (Matt. 25: 36, 40). This Mother’s Day you can make a difference in the lives of incarcerated mothers by sending a card and offering a message of hope, love, and encouragement through Prison Fellowship, an organization that helps churches serve incarcerated parents and families.
