URBAN DESIGN
This urban study involves some of the problems faced by my residential people that are emotionally attached and also serious cause of concern. The Pandemic was the reason for the study of a place within reach. The issues include crowded buses during peak hours. Increased individual private vehicles and Minor accidents due to inappropriate road behaviour. Considering all these aspects better solution were drafted.

CONCEPT Improvements For Building Layouts To Reduce Damages Due to Cyclones. Hipped roof is the strongest type with all sides of the roof sloped. There are no gable ends in this roof. Instead, rafters come across diagonally from the corner and meet the ridge board a short distance from the ends of the house. Regular plan shapes are preferred. Reentrant corners are to be avoided.
06
In case of construction of group of buildings with a row type or cluster arrangement, cluster arrangement can be followed in preference to row type.
COMPETITION PROJECT
Long walls having length in excess of 3.5 m shall be provided with cross walls or integrated pilasters.
Against the backdrop of the widespread damage caused by the super cyclone ‘AMPHAN’ in may 2020, we are calling the students of architecture, planning and design community to propose design alternatives for Family in the Sundarbans and to rise the occasion to contribute to the society to large.
Space design has evloved over time as per the need from single unit to double unit and multiple units seperated by enclosed coutyard. The orientation of the buildings was mostly chosen on the basis of topography, solar movement, and wind direction. Design features have been mostly influenced by the local skills and craftsmanship. A typical vernacular house consists of a common verandah, small room for cattle, entrance (Bata Ghara)and other rooms arranged around the courtyard. It does not include toilet which is located at the back side of the house.
24
Material used are the Mud/ Cement mixtures, Timber/ Bamboo High plinth, Reinforcements both vertically and horizontally to face pressure. Organised to make the courtyard prominent, Larger space for kitchen based on occupation, Organised to tackle the tunnel effect. High and strong compund walls, Trees to divert the water during floods.

In Supervised Classification the user or image analyst “supervises” the pixel classification process. The user specifies the various pixels values or spectral signatures that should be associated with each class. This is done by selecting representative sample sites of a known cover type called Training Sites or Areas.

Watershed Analysis, Hydrology tools are used to Digitization is the process of making features we can see on the image editable and making
them features to which additional spatial and non-spatial attributes can be assigned. When digitizing we can digitize point, lines, or polygons. By digitizing these features, you make them available for mapping once you added the tabular data to the attribute table.
model the flow of water across a surface. Information about the shape of the earth’s surface is useful for many fields, such as regional planning, agriculture, and forestry.
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system that creates, manages, analyzes, and maps all types of data. GIS connects data to a map, integrating location data. This provides a foundation for mapping and analysis that is used in science and almost every industry. GIS helps users understand patterns, relationships, and geographic context. The benefits include improved communication and efficiency as well as better management and decision making.
