You have your legal documents safe (visa, passport, etc.) You have met with at least one AIESEC Responsible who is a point-of-contact for you and the AIESEC entity you are hosted by. Your have met host family / provided with your accommodation. You have a clear job description at your place of work / project. The project is as expected - the way it was introduced to you when you chose it. You have constant support & guidance for your happy survival there.


Stay in touch with those who matter. Have you spoken to your family and friends yet? Let them know you’re safe and sound. There are so many free apps and services for 
 international communication. Make use of them!

Document your experience. Journal (even a few lines everyday works!) Record voice notes if you’re not too keen on writing. Record videos so that you can authentically express how you feel. Get out there and paint social media with your pictures and 
 activities. Let the world know what it is be a Global Citizen.

Whatsapp or email your EP Manager / Buddy your content and we will have it published on our pages. This way, your story can inspire many young individuals to make a difference by being a Global Citizen.

Wear your values and traditions on your sleeve. Be hospitable! Share knowledge, efforts, wisdom, experiences, food and water. Be proud, but stay grounded. Listen before you speak. Speak with respect. Observe the differences, acknowledge them. Draw similarities, assess them. Stay curious!

 exchange experience?


We dare you.

Get your international friend to sing a song in an Indian language.

Learn to cook an authentic dish from the country of your stay.

Dress up. Turn up at the busiest street or tourist spot in an Indian outfit. Click pictures!

Indian and not bargaining in a market or a shop? Flaunt those desi negotiation skills.

Help a stranger. Buy a senior citizen some flowers. Learn a beautiful word. Smile.


Buy a map of the locality and explore. Take a walk down the street and get lost in the new culture. You will never know what you will end up discovering!

going places Read when you are free. Books have the power to drag you into their depths. Read up more about the new place, its people, history and widen your pespective!

Music is food to the soul. It will help you get through all kinds of days stressful, happy, cheerful, nostalgic and what not!
