I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the principal architects of our firm, Ar. Sunil Humane and Ar. Shruti Humane for giving me this wonderful opportunity and letting me be a part of their team,leading me to work on diverse exciting projects.The values and knowledge imparted by them during my training period ,is something I will follow all my life.

I thank my colleagues for their constant support and motivation,patience and immense knowledge,guiding me each step of the way.They did not just help me learn but always made me feel at home, I will always cherish the time i’ve spent with them.

Bachelors Degree in Architecture from J.J School of Arts & Architecture, Mumbai (1999),Worked with Architect Christopher Benninger.Thereafter started his own firm Studio Hu’mane.

Shruti Humane

Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Dr. B N College of Architecture, Pune and masters in Landscape Architecture from C.E.P.T, Ahmedabad. She worked as with Ravi & Varsha Gavandi before joining Studio Hu’mane.

design philosophy.

In search of new forms and principles, in order to develop an architectural language, with universally intelligible metaphor, we believe in five principles.

- Design should emerge from existing tangible & intangible ‘contexts’ to transform into an edifice / a built environment which creates new metaphors & ‘contexts’ for the life within.

- Buildings themselves should talk about their location, their construction, and about the people who made them and the people who use them.

- Design should evolve from a very strong concept to unfold into an assembly of varied spaces and places with their own individualistic characters.

- Design should set into motion, a physical and emotional chain of events, arising from its built environment.

- Design should put into place an external mass with a significant and purist form.

- Design should stimulate human emotions and memories through the passage of time.

PRINCIPAL ARCHITECTS

They own the firm and are the firm’s primary investor. They oversee all departments within the firm, examine the workflow of design processes and determine their firm’s budget. They are typically highly skilled architects themselves who have worked many years in their chosen field, such as interior design,landscape or architecture, before leading a firm.

SENIOR ARCHITECTS

Senior architects are architects with extensive industry experience. They develop and interpret a range of structural designs and also act as mentors, managers, and advisors. They typically work in offices and onsite, ensuring the cohesion of their team, and overall project success. They perform administrative tasks also, including the preparation of proposals and contracts and work on interior and architecture projects.The office manager oversees each stage and component of particular design projects, manages the design team, monitors budgets and facilitate communication from clients to clarify their expectations for a project.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

JUNIOR ARCHITECTS

The junior architects work under the direct supervision of a senior architect .They create proposals and complete construction paperwork for building projects and they submit all required documents and paperwork before the construction process begins to ensure projects follow legal specifications and company procedures.

Landscape architects design the landscapes of outdoors that are both functional to use and safe to visit. They are highly skilled in integrating the constructed environment with natural elements like trees and other vegetation.

INTERNS

Towards the bottom of the hierarchical order are the interns who are undergraduate architecture students who work as trainees in the firm. They may handle day to day tasks and assist designers in their duties,make physical or 3D models,prepare presentation and working drawings,and observe the working of an office.

Maintains Petty cash book ,helps in the maintainence of the office and responsible for hospitality services.
