A jar to collect all the interesting natural objects I find! While on a nature hunt, the best way to learn is from collecting and observing!

Lots of colourful stationery, like pens, crayons, sketchpens, paints etc. Also a round hollow circular object(like a bangle)!

Glue, Sellotape and other things that help stick the natural objects in this book! Its fun to preserve these small unique objects!

Always carry water, something to eat and Safety-Aid like band aids, cotton and an antiseptic cream! While around nature, always be prepared for challenges!

A dragonfly With a set of two eyes covering its head, It’s known to have a sharp eye sight, This sight runs towards the light! They can see everywhere around, By moving their head round and round! Now, Just like the dragonfly, Use your two round eyes! To observe and see Colours, shapes and movement Little things around you, Which then become a part of your book too!

RIDDLE These are insects that come Alive in the summer heat! The male insect Calls the female, This leaves a voice trail! They are always hidden, Looking for them Could be a riddle! Found beneath rocks And half eaten leaves, Close to the broken barks of trees! The insect sings a song which we hear from distances that are long! Do you know the insects name?

Activity 5: Stand in a circle, each one closes their eyes and open your ears! There should be silence to observe the sounds around you! Pick these sounds from nature and imitate them! Write these sounds in the circles below, Use different colours for each sound!

The Elephant It uses its long trunk to smell, Storing all the sweet smell! At the tip of the trunk, Lie the nostrils Which help detect water From far distances! It can also sense the smell of thunder, Isn’t that a great wonder?

RIDDLE They are the most colourful parts of a tree, The smell in them attracts Ants, butterflies and bees! The smell may remind you Of your favourite perfume, Or a green leafy vegetable That fills up your dining room! They can bring a smile to anyone’s face, They are decorated in a vase! ACTIVITY 9: Collect different colours of flowers and Other colours of natural objects around you! Put them together in the shape of a rainbow! Each rainbow line should have a different colour! Now you can smell your rainbow!

The Roots Touching the ground, under the surface, And above the many layers of grainy soil! The ground and the roots, merge their colours To form different shades of brown! Can you close your eyes, feel the objects around you? And guess their colours?

Collect little treasures and happy memories while you are around in a natural space, gather all these summer memories in this nature book.
