software has been essential in providing traceability of equipment maintenance.

“This program was implemented with traceability and inventory in mind,” said Mr Panait. “We also provided our employees with complete access to the program to ensure it was being used efficiently and effectively.”

The new program is highly efficient and has made a significant reduction to Tacrom’s use of paper.

The involvement of staff is incredibly important to Tacrom, and their wellbeing is also paramount. In order to provide the very best workspace and in line with its CSR commitments, the company has also been developing personnel training courses that are specific to each area and position.

“Development of these courses has been a step-by-step process,”

Mr Panait continued. “So far, this has been incredibly effective, and it has allowed us to provide more streamlined services, where operators can work on more than one segment of any given project.”

Providing multiskilled employees has been a successful and strategic decision, with several of Tacrom’s clients choosing to employ the company’s more streamlined method.

This includes Romgaz, which utilised Tacrom’s fully comprehensive drilling programme – from road access to pipelines, Tacrom provided Romgaz with everything needed for successful well production.

The company has even gone one step further by providing clients access to all its employees’ certifications (which are available through Tacrom’s system database upon request). Not only is this another step towards being paperless, but it also really helps to provide extra reassurance for anyone interested in Tacrom’s capabilities. The company also offers open com-

munication with its clients to make sure each step of the process runs accordingly.

“Before we even start a project, we maintain daily contact with clients to make sure everything is progressing smoothly, as well as to allow for any alterations in the planning process,” said Mr Panait.

“Tacrom’s design team is really great at what they do, preparing the technical proposals for each project so that we can discuss them in-depth with the customer.

Once that is all clear, we proceed with per forming the operation.

“We also make sure to call the clients at the end of the project as well, because we like to go back over everything and record review data to decipher what went well and where we can improve to achieve better results in future operations.”

Forward thinking

Having already had huge success in expanding its capabilities, Tacrom intends to continue growing. According to Mr Panait, this will be achieved in several different ways.

“We plan to extend our portfolio by bringing new technologies on board,” explained Mr Panait. “This will be achieved in multiple stages, alongside the upgrading of our current equipment. Tacrom is also invested in the latest data software on the market; we have our own department that follows these areas of advancement.

“We will continue to invest and improve, in order to make Tacrom the very best for our customers. My motto in life, is to do better today than yesterday, and it’s a saying that everyone at the company abides by.

“From well selection to preparation, subcontracting, logging downhole equipment and surface pressure recruitment, Tacrom is ready to do more for the world.” n
