Simple lockdown and emergency warning alarm system solutions

Vimpex has announced two new products to its range of detection, evacuation and alarm systems with the launch of Identi-Cryer and StroBell.

Identi-Cryer is a simple lockdown and other emergency warning alarm system solution for public buildings, schools and offices. The unit is a voice sounder that provides clear, unambiguous verbal messages that describe the state of alarm to occupants, required actions and, in some cases, coded messages. It requires no special wiring, is easily retro-fitted and has seven user-definable messages from a library of hundreds.

The new look StroBell is a combined fire alarm bell and visual indicating device that is ideal for installations that require both a traditional bell tone and a visual alarm. StroBell uses the same hinged design as Vimpex’s ClamBell meaning reduced installation time; once fitted to the wall and wired to the circuit, the StroBell clicks shut, eliminating the overcomplicated installation process of other bells. vimpex.co.uk

Camera provides 360° view in 30 seconds

Bosch has introduced the MIC IP fusion 9000i 9mm camera, offering a wide thermal view to increase the level of security in perimeter detection applications. Equipped with a 9mm lens, the new camera expands the current MIC IP fusion 9000i line-up of AIpowered security solutions. Designed for short range perimeter security at critical sites, the MIC IP fusion 9000i 9mm camera delivers 360-degree coverage in 30 seconds. Obtaining a full circle view reportedly lowers security costs per square meter, resulting in customer savings. The camera is protected by full metal housing and offers the same level of longevity and reliability of existing 19mm and 50mm lens models.

It employs metadata fusion, to blend object detection data from both thermal and optical video analytics streams and display them in one view. Metadata fusion focuses on the invisible things that need attention and provides operators with overall awareness of their environment regardless of which video stream they are watching.

Wireless access solution for full lockdown control

SMARTair from Abloy UK offers users the ability to open, lock or maintain access to individual doors or zones to deal with an emergency. With a single command, doors equipped with SMARTair devices may be set to ‘Block Mode’ and can only be unlocked with a specific credential.

This means that apart from designated staff, no one on-site can move around freely. Alternatively, the ‘Emergency Close’ function can lock all openings remotely and simultaneously, but an authorised credential may still unlock them.

As a third option, every device can be set to ‘Emergency Open’, which unlocks them all. This could provide fire services with instant access to a whole building or site, for example.

Ultra-compact video encoder and recorder

Vemotion Interactive has released the VB-200, a compact, two-channel HD video encoder and recorder. Delivering ultra-low latency, highresolution live streaming HD video transmission over GPRS, 3G, 4GLTE, 5G, Wi-Fi and Satellite networks, the new VB-200 provides two simultaneous HD video (1920 x 1080) output streams, from one or more connected cameras.

Measuring 93.5mm x 82mm x 20mm, the VB-200 can provide close-up monitoring of any defined aspect of a particular scene. In conjunction with digital and optical PTZ, areas of a specific scene of interest can be simultaneously monitored to reveal enhanced detail. Suitable for installation where space is limited, VB-200 video can either be streamed live or recorded on-board.

PTZ camera range with seamless VMS integration

360 Vision Technology has launched TX Direct, a static IP address wireless PTZ camera available in the Predator (HD, thermal and radar) and Invictus model ranges.

Offered alongside the existing wireless TX camera range, TX Direct camera technology offers installers and end users the advantage of seamless, direct ONVIF integration into Video Management Systems (VMS), rather than via a hosted server or third-party software.

Providing high definition 1080p, 25fps, 2048 kbps, CVBR images, TX Direct enables the freedom to easily add and set-up new surveillance cameras beyond the coverage of existing hardwired CCTV cable infrastructure, and is a cost-effective alternative to fibre networks. 360visiontechnology.com
