Affordable cameras with open platform chipset

Hanwha Techwin is adding twelve new 4megapixel cameras to its Wisenet Q series. Together with existing 2 and 5-megapixel Wisenet Q models, the new NDAA compliant cameras are designed to offer an affordable solution for high camera count video surveillance applications.

The H.265 PoE cameras, which have built-in IR illumination, are equipped with an Open Platform chipset and have a suite of Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), which includes tampering, directional detection, defocus detection, virtual line, enter/exit and motion detection.

Other key features include Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and WiseStream II, a complementary compression technology.

New wireless Grade 2 shock sensor is launched

Pyronix has announced the release of its compact Grade 2 wireless shock sensor, the NanoShock (NANO/SHOCK-WE).

Fitted out of sight within uPVC window or door frames, or surface mounted with its low profile and pleasing design, the NanoShock has been designed to deliver easy professional installation and reliable protection.

The NanoShock is an accelerometer device that detects impacts caused by potential intruders as they attempt to break into any residential or smallcommercial property.

Installed without having to worry about the positioning of any detection chamber or requiring further adjustments, the device is positioned where required and as soon as the sensitivity is set, it auto-orientates. Once placed, calibration is also simple with the pinhole button on the front with LED indication. Using the included pin needle calibration tool, all the installer has to do is hold the button and cycle through five increments to the required sensitivity using the LEDs to guide them, with one being the least sensitive and five the most sensitive.

With this installation process there’s no need to open the device to configure the PCB, which is encased in the front of the sensor along with the batteries. This setup makes maintenance very straightforward too; replacing its batteries without having to unscrew anything. pyronix.com/uk

Comelit has launched an app designed to support users looking to remotely manage and control door entry and fire safety systems from a single cloud platform.

The new image-led and responsive app features a simple and intuitive dashboard to present daily monitoring and management of devices.

All operating in real time, with no software installation required, the app ensures users can check their status across Comelit’s product portfolio on a remote basis, making sure they are connected and fully operational.

MyComelit allows users to manage systems, including Comelit’s Simplebus and VIP, by installation site or project, with easy consultation and geographical visualisation available in an interactive map. Updated desktop app for maintaining installations

Ajax Systems has released the updated PRO Desktop app, which now combines all the tools to connect, maintain and monitor Ajax security systems.

PRO Desktop 3.2 will allow installation and service companies to manage the PRO accounts of staff installers and external contractors, give them temporary access to system settings and restrict access to sensitive information.

The mobile PRO app now features the ability to separate a company’s hubs from the installer’s PRO account hubs. Several hub lists are now available in the interface, and the installer can switch between them in two clicks.
