The 1986 Senior Class Proudly Dedicates Their Yearbook T o

Bob Wilson

The Senior Class wishes to thank Bob for devoting his last 28 years to the students of Proctor Academy. H e has left his mark in many areas of Proctor life which serve as constant reminders of his energy and unique skills. H e is responsible for organizing the acquisition of the T-Bar, and major development of the ski hill. H e has coached football and skiing, instituted surveying, taught Driver's Ed and Hunter Safety, and organized the G u n Club. Every time one of us walks in the woods, we remember Bob and Wilson's Wonder Trail. Thank you, Bob.

1985 Football Review The 1985 season was an emotional roller coaster, from the highs of four wins in a row to the last second loss to Phillips Andover and the sound defeat at the hands of our traditional rival, Holderness. Throughout it all, they stuck together and displayed a winning attitude. Yet, while they m a y not have been winners on thefield, their attitude was always positive and supportive. M u c h thanks to the outstanding leadership of of Captain Brendan O'Connell and a tremendous group of seniors. We'll miss you - remember the hard work. D a w n Patrol. 880's!!!!! Women's field hockey faced a tough season with many injuries. As a result, players often faced a game day with two games to play. In addition, many junior varsity players were in varsity positions. As a result, many younger players were seasoned early. The team should be commended for their hard work and good sportsmanship. Varsity season 2-5-2. J.V. Season record 1-0-2.

Then we bounce around the station for hours when we get back- tired and wet, filthy, but still high and excited, rehashing the job, telling war stories. This was an exceptional year for the Cross Country Team. Withfivereturning skiers and some eager new athletes, it promised to be a good season. Captain Will Peabody led the team and was inspirational in bo his leadership and performance. Seth D o w n s continued to improve at a rapid rate and capped his season with excellent results. Matt Marchildon, a sophmore, proved that he could ski with even the best seniors the league by posting the fastest individual leg time in the relay of the N e w England Preparatory School Championships. Senior Dean Turkalj, the other returning team member, also performed well this winter and skied to a credible 29th place in the Championships event with only two years of skiing experience. Scott G o o d m a n , a new junior to Proctor, had an excellent season and skied exceptionally well under pressure. The team was further supported by Will McCurtin, Fred Vining and Brad Kirkpatrick. Proctor was able to defend its Nordic Combined Lakes Region Title with consistent performance from bo the Jumpers and Skiers. The highlight of the season was the Nordic teams' second placefinishat the N e w England Preparatory School Championships which raised Proctor's overallfinish(Alpine and Nordic) to Second Place.
