Hail to you my mountain climber, busy at your own task. I know you're in a hurry but there's something I must ask. Do you ever get lonely climbing up so high ? I you don't want to answer me, I can understand why. If I told you a secret, would you want to know more? I've got a challenge I hope you won't ignore. Sometimes I get this precious view, but I am staring at the sun. For as pretty as the picture is, I share this view alone. Will anyone stoop to grasp the gauntlet I have thrown ? Hail to all you mountain climbers, all you dreamers on the run. I'm your self-apppointed solicitor, but now I speak to only one. Wlioever she is now, or whoever she'll become. I'd like to ask her to huny, please, and, if she's walking, could she run? It's not my impatience though perhaps just there I lied. It's just I'm feeling invincible and it has me terrified. Chewed the bone down too low. Got fed on tea and sympathy. Blew the sail like the wind. I wish you were my enemy. I was humble for you. Wlxat a fool I've been to have laid so low for so long. Drew the blade way too slow, was shackled by your honesty. Made a mess, I guess I should have known, that life and lust and liberty. Not a chance mutilation or the last temptation. Laid so low for so long, so low in that void of silence where we cry without sound And where your mother's violence sent your soul underground, where tears roll down. — Blues Traveler
