Words cannot describe how thankful I am to the people I love for having faith in me. And to Proctor: three years ago I didn't think there was any school that could teach a person how to love, how to grow from mistakes, or how to appreciate what you have, but I was wrong. Mom and Dad, I love you, none of this would be possible without you. Brenda, you have been my mother away from home, thank you. Mike, I love you man, so many great memories (the frog song). Jenna, what huge heart for a little salt shaker. Allison, you've been there for me my whole life. You're the sister I should have had. Katie, you mean more to me than a thousand pages could describe. I will always love you.

I finally did it. 4 years. I am dedicating this to Alice and Carrie who I can only wish would standing next to me at graduation. Also to Jenna for being my best friend through e very thing. Janique, you know I will ne ver forget our sugar hypes and late night talks. face, I love you, my little sister. Margaret, you are the best person with a strong heart. thanks for kicking my butt. Meredith, ya roommates, we both know the memories. To all my 4 year seniors, we @#%ing rock! Adam, I love you, but who would have guessed. Last but not least, my parents, both sets, for their love, devotion, and faith, I love you guys for

'It's better to be hated for w h o you are, than loved for w h o you are not." Sincere words are never beautiful and beautiful words never sincere. The noble are never eloquent and the eloquent never noble. The knowing are never learned

The W a y that can be experienced is not true;

and the learned never knowing.

The world that can be constructed is not real. The Way manifests all that happens and may happen;

A sage never hoards:

The world represents all that exists and may exist.

the more you do for others

To experience without abstraction is to sense the world;

the more plenty is yours,

To experience with abstraction is to know the world.

And the more you give others

These two experiences are indistinguishable;

The more abundance is yours.

Their construction differs but their effect is the same.

The W a y of heaven is to profit without causing harm,

Beyond the gate of experience flows the Way,

and the Way of a sage to act without contending.

Which is ever greater and more subtle than the world.

Orientation "I can't let it beat m e , Just a little bit longer, I'm stronger than it, Not m u c h further." This is what I tell myself every step of the way. O n e foot in front of the other mile after mile. There are times w h e n I want to go h o m e , But then I tell myself I can't. Out here I can think and breathe, Far from the confines of a classroom. W h e n the fifth day comes, I almost feel saddened that I have to go h o m e . All the memories m y friends and I have shared. Will always be with m e . This was one of the unique experiences I've ever had his-this was Orientation.

Emily Welch I could write a book about all the people I should mention. You all mean so m u c h to me. I have learned from you and have grown from m y experiences. You all hold a special place in m y heart and have molded m e into the person 1 a m today. I have been through many struggles in the past four years, and being the "overly sensitive" person that I am, it has been difficult. But through it all I have had support from wonderful people. Shout out to M y parents: I appreciate all you do for m e . You have given m e love and strength through rough times. You have m y opened m y eyes to n e w things and have given m e the chance to have wonderful opportunities and experiences. Our friendship has grown. It is only the beginning. To m y parents, I love you for giving so m u c h so I could come here. I will never be able to repay you for this amazing opertunity. Bill Talarico I w a n t to thank m y parents for everything that they have done for me, all the opportunities they have given me, and for not giving up on me a long time ago. When I was on a tour here, Tom Eccleston was honest about the school, football, and what he expected of me; that is one of the main reasons why I came to Proctor. Football was the best part of my year here. Dave Fleming was the best coach I've had in a while and it was fun playing for him. It wasn't a very easy year but Ryan Flynn kept me out of trouble and taught me a lot about college, writing and life. If he didn't keep reminding me why I was here, I probably wouldn't have made it. Most of the things that I learned this year were from Dave Pilla's class, I was lucky to have him for a teacher.To the people here that I got along with: it was nice knowing you.

Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed. Some say love it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed. Some say love, it is a hunger an endless aching need. I say love, it is a flower and you its only seed. It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It's the dream, afraid of waking that never takes a chance. It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give, and the soul afraid of dyin' that never learns to live. W h e n the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long, and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong, Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes a rose.

O m a r Reid, Lida Beaudoin
