HELMETS POC has worked closely with leading experts in different fields to understand how to develop the most relevant ski and snowboard helmets. We have come up with different concepts for several different needs with new ideas and unique solutions on how to reduce the force transmitted to the brain in case of a crash.

With an NFC Medical ID chip, rescuers can get the information they need at the scene of an injury in an instant, thereby helping medical professionals make the best judgements for your treatment in the vital ”Golden Hour”, the time right after an accident. The inclusion of the NFC chip comes as part of POC’s whole-helmet approach to design, comfort, fit and performance, which includes SPIN (Shearing Pad INside), our patent-pending silicone pad technology system. Other features of this whole-helmet approach include the use of RECCO rescue reflectors to aid rescuers in their search for lost skiers.

FORNIX The award-winning Fornix is a super-lightweight, aramid reinforced and well-ventilated helmet. By applying an aramid weave and molding it together with the foam liner, it has been possible to develop a lightweight helmet with advanced structural stability and a high level of crash protection. The aramid also acts to improve penetration protection. The Fornix is very lightweight and generously ventilated. The simple size adjustment system makes it possible to customize the fit of the helmet to ensure it stays safe and comfortably in place. AURIC The lightweight and highly ventilated Auric helmet has a durable ABS shell and a multi-impact EPP liner, which is strategically thicker in the most exposed areas. The Auric provides increased protection for the ears and temples and is compatible for use with a beanie and goggles underneath. The soft internal padding makes sure the helmet stays safe and comfortable in place and the padding can also be adjusted for ventilation. The Auric helmet has been developed in collaboration with POC team athlete Aaron Blunck.

POCITO FORNIX POCito Fornix is a kids’ version of the award-winning Fornix helmet. The helmet is aramid reinforced, well-ventilated and equipped with a size adjustment system that makes it possible to customize the fit of the helmet to ensure it stays safe and comfortably in place. By applying aramid strings and molding them together with the foam liner, it was possible to develop a lightweight helmet while maintaining structural stability and a high level of protection. Like all POCito products, visibility is a key safety criteria and the POCito Fornix comes in a bold fluorescent colors and is also equipped with reflective patches. It features a RECCO reflector patch which can aid search and rescue personnel to locate the wearer in emergency situations.

A multi-impact EPP liner keeps a child protected fall after fall, and an aramid penetration barrier prevents objects penetrating the helmet. Other safety features include a RECCO reflector patch which can aid search and rescue personnel to locate the wearer in emergency situations. A size adjustment system ensures the child can grow with the helmet. The helmet comes in fluorescent colors with reflective stickers to maximize visibility and ultimately avoid collisions with other skiers. There is also an accessory pack including an LED light and a fluorescent vest. The goggle clip has a My Info-space for the parents’ contact information.
