As great subject material, module-by-module classification, and strategies have been shared already. I have figured out there is nothing much to add in the existing knowledge bank. So, I decided to focus on the other primary parts of CISSP certification training courses that are not given enough attention until the day of the exam.

Yes, it is all about time. As you already have the idea- the length of the exam is 6 hours where you need to use your brain to answer the questions that need utmost focus, memory, presence of mind, cognitive thinking, mental endurance and top of this- critical thinking and knowledge of 8 different domains.

How to crack CISSP exam? 

Study cut off time

To perform at best, it is extremely important to be physically healthy and mentally active on your exam day. It would help if you had a good sleep before the exam to ensure your mind is relaxed and recharged to perform non-stop during the 3-hour long exam. Be hydrated to avoid any nausea and headache. You have spent months without a wink of sleep to prepare for this exam, and it is time to make them count. It would be best if you did not drain yourself by revising everything at night as it can affect your mental performance.

Come up with the study cut-off time for your studies at least 12 to 15 hours before the exam. After that time, you shouldn’t look at any syllabus, material, guide, notes or anything related to the CISSP training course. Trust me on this one! Allowing your brain to relax for a while will prepare for the big battle ahead.

Visit the testing location before the exam

Have you already visited the exam centre? If not then, do it before the exam as it is beneficial to be familiar with the exact location. Knowing how much time it will take to reach and which means of transport will get you there faster will help you to prepare for the big day.

Prepare your supplies for the big day

You can prepare light snacks, and drinks to keep you energetic during the whole exam. I often carry the citric juice as it helps to calm down nausea, and a packet of chewing gum to suppress my stress level. So, if you have something similar for you then, you can also carry it, but make sure it is legal to carry. 

Take small break sessions

Once you take a seat in the examination hall and get the paper in hand – the short-term anxiety kicks in. No matter how confident you are feeling about the questions you have attempted, take the regular breaks. When I was preparing for the CISSP certification training course, I came across a forum that shared the idea of attending 75 questions and then taking a 10-minute break to refresh your mind and repeat. I tried this method by myself, and it really worked out for me. So, I was answering 70 questions then, taking a break to wash my face to feel refreshed or having a cup of tea, or increasing my glucose level to keep my stamina during the whole exam. 

Exam reviews

Right before you submit your paper, review it properly to make sure you are not missing out any questions. In my case, I only reviewed my exam paper to cross-check the couple of questions I flagged earlier. I didn’t go through the unflagged questions as it can stir up the confusion and doubts. My
