We recommend that you regulate the brightness of the light with a DALI dimmer from a specialized electrical retailer for a secure operation outside of the DALI lighting system (e.g. Feller, Osram, Jung, Gira). For information on the lumens and wattage refer to the bulb manufacturer’s specifications. You can find out the photometrically calculated luminous flux in the technical light data (LDT) ready for download on our website. There may be very narrow colour tolerances with LEDs. However, these are reduced to a minimum (<3 MacAdam).

OLED â&#x20AC;&#x201C; The most natural light source Extremely thin OLED is a surface light source, made up of thin, organic layers. This produces a glare-free light without generating any heat.

Sustainable OLED is the most sustainable lighting technology of all. Almost all the energy is converted into light, without using any environmentally-damaging materials. LED – The most efficient light source The most economical illuminant The high energy-saving potential offered by LEDs stands out from the crowd. An LED lamp consumes at least 80% less energy than an incandescent lamp to produce the same brightness, and even surpasses energy-saving lamps (up to 80% less than incandescent lamps). Longest service life Currently, the LED is the illuminant with the longest service life on the market. Its 50,000 hours (at least 70% luminous flux) points the way to the future. At an average lighting time of 3 hours/day, the light’s service life would be about 50 years. At 10 hours/day, this figure would be 13 years. Highest light output With an average of 100 lm /W, the LED is one of the most advanced illuminants available. This value means that the LED beats its rivals several times over. Offers and prices Offers made by RIBAG Licht AG are subject to change without notice and to prior sale unless their duration of validity is express ly stated. All lamp prices exclude light sources, transport costs and packaging. RIBAG Licht AG reserves the right of ownership and copyright to all drawings, designs and cost estimates. These doc uments are personally entrusted to the recipient and may not be passed on to third parties or copied without the written permission of RIBAG Licht AG. They must be returned to RIBAG Licht AG at the latter’s request. Lighting designs that must be specially created at the request of the interested party may be charged to the latter if no corresponding order for delivery is sub sequently made. Purchasing conditions of the purchaser or changes to these general terms and conditions as well as all other agreements shall be binding on RIBAG Licht AG only if they have been accepted by the latter in writing.

2. Orders 2.1. By placing an order, the purchaser accepts these delivery conditions. 2.2. If the purchaser has placed an order and this has been confirmed by RIBAG Licht AG, any changes or cancellations may only be made by mutual agreement. Changes and cancellations are precluded in the case of special fabrications. 2.3. The purchaser must take delivery of goods purchased on the basis of a release order within the agreed release period. If this period is exceeded, RIBAG Licht AG has the right to invoice the purchaser.

Delivery schedules 3. 3.1. Delivery schedules shall be observed as far as is possible. Any claims for replace ment due to late deliveries cannot be accepted. 4. Deliveries 4.1. RIBAG Licht AG shall determine the mode of dispatch. It is justified in delivering the goods in the form of part-shipments. 4.2. All deliveries shall be made to the delivery address specified by the purchaser. If the delivery address is located in a country with higher transport costs than the country of the invoice address, the full transport costs shall be charged. Extra costs for express deliveries, airfreight or couriers shall be separately billed in every case. 4.3. Deliveries shall be made at ground level or on a ramp. The recipient shall provide the personnel required for unloading at his own cost. 4.4. A signature of an employee of the recipient shall count as confirmation that the con signment is complete and free of visible damage. The goods are dispatched at the recipient’s risk. 5. Packaging 5.1. A charge shall be made for non-returnable cartons. 5.2. Crates and pallets shall be charged in full if they are not returned within a month. 5.3. The packaging material shall be disposed of at the recipient’s cost. 6. Sample deliveries 6.1. As an exception, lamps for lighting tests shall be made available for up to 60 days. Any material not returned within this time shall be charged. Any lamps that are changed or damaged by the recipient shall be charged in all cases. 6.2. Samples that must be specially fabricated at the request of the interested party shall be charged if no corresponding order for delivery is subsequently made.

7. 7.1.

Dimensions and design changes RIBAG Light AG has the right to change the dimensions of diagrams, weights, dimensional tables or other specifications of this kind if this should prove to be expedient.

8. Returns 8.1. Returns will be accepted only after prior agreement and at the sender’s cost. Only catalog products in their original packaging will be accepted. A contribution toward expenses will be charged in all cases. Damaged parts will not be credited. Any repair work will be charged at the cost price. The purchaser shall be charged for missing parts such as fluorescent tubes, fixing materials, original packaging etc. 8.2. Goods whose sales date (as per invoice of RIBAG Licht AG) is more than 6 months in the past can no longer be returned. 8.3. Special fabrications, modified standard models (colour or design) as well as light sources cannot be returned. 9. Claims 9.1. Claims due to deliveries with lacking or incorrect items as well as defects shall be made in writing no later than 8 days after receipt of the delivery. 9.2. Transport damage must be notified immediately to RIBAG Licht AG. If a claim due to transport damage is made too late, it can no longer be processed. The packaging must be retained for assessment. In the case of «ex-works» deliveries, any transport damage must be notified directly to the forwarder.

10. Guarantee 10.1. RIBAG Licht AG will assume a 5-year warranty on behalf of the purchaser, in addition to the legal guarantee, for prod ucts purchased from 01.09.2012 that are manufactured and sold under the brand of "RIBAG". The warranty terms are listed on the following pages 166–167 or can be downloaded from www.ribag.com. 10.2. Every guarantee presupposes that the defective parts are returned, carriage and packaging paid, to the following recipient addresses. 13. Collateral agreements 13.1. Agreements other than these general terms and conditions or any collateral agreements apply only if they have been agreed in writing.

11. Reservation of title 11.1. All goods that are delivered shall remain the property of RIBAG Licht AG until the purchase price is paid in full. The pur chaser hereby declares his agreement to registration of the reservation of title at his or her domicile. 11.2. The purchaser shall take suitable action to ensure that the claim to ownership by RIBAG Licht AG is neither prejudiced nor annulled.

16. Applicable law 16.1. Legal relations with RIBAG Licht AG are subject to Swiss law. Application of the UN Convention on Contracts for the Interna tional Sale of Goods (Vienna agreement) is precluded. In the event that these general terms and conditions do not contain any specific arrangements, the stipulations of the Swiss law of obligations shall apply. If individual stipulations of these general terms and conditions are ineffective or become so, this does not affect the other stipulations.

12. Terms of payment 12.1. Invoices are payable within 30 days with no deductions. Any other payment condi tions must be agreed in writing.

14. Tenders 14.1. The general terms and conditions of RIBAG Licht AG take precedence over tendering conditions if they contradict the latter. 15. Place of delivery and jurisdiction 15.1. The exclusive place of delivery for the purchaser and for RIBAG Licht AG shall be Safenwil (Switzerland), even in the event that delivery is made at the purchasers’ cost, CIF, FOB or on similarly agreed terms. 15.2. The place of jurisdiction shall be Safenwil (Switzerland). However, RIBAG Licht AG reserves the right to pursue legal pro ceedings against its contractual partners at their place of business or at another competent court if it so desires.

5-YEAR MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY 1.

General RIBAG Licht AG offers the following 5-year warranty to customers, in addition to the legal guarantee, for products that are manufactured and sold under the “RIBAG” brand, It shall apply without prejudice to the mandatory statutory liability, as de fined in the Product Liability Act, in cases of wilful intent or gross negligence, as a result of injury to life, body or health.

2. Warranty cover 2.1. Valid for RIBAG products that have been purchased from 01.09.2012 onwards (purchase receipt): 2.2. RIBAG guarantees that your products are free from any material, manufacturing and structural defects. The state of science and technology at the time of manufac ture is a decisive factor. The defect in the product that caused the damage must have already been evident at this time. Claims for consequential damages or resulting from product liability can only be made in accordance with the mandatory statutory provisions. 2.3. This warranty is only valid for 5 years starting from the original date of pur chase. (Purchase receipt). The warranty period will not be extended because ser vices have been rendered in the context of this warranty, especially not for repairs or replacements. The warranty period will not be renewed in these cases. 3.

Making a claim According to this warranty, the customer is entitled to make a claim in writing and give a description of the defect, within the warranty period, to RIBAG or the retailer where the product was purchased. A fur ther condition is that the customer shows the defect within two months after he has noticed it and or must have noticed it. It is up to the customer to prove that the warranty has not expired (e.g. by providing the purchase receipt). Where appropriate, RIBAG is entitled to determine the start of the warranty period in accordance with the date of manufacture.

This warranty guarantees 4. 4.1. RIBAG is free to decide whether to repair the product, exchange it or refund the purchase price. In the case of a repair, the warranty covers the free delivery of the necessary spare parts. Insofar as RIBAG gives their written consent to carry out the repair themselves, then RIBAG bears the resulting costs for spare parts, instal lation and labour as well as any separate expenses for the transportation or delivery of the product. The customer has to provide the product so that the warranty services may be carried out. In the case of an exchange, the old product will be replaced with a new product of the same kind, quality and model. If the product in question has been discontinued at the time of the complaint, RIBAG is entitled to deliver a similar product. If RIBAG chooses to issue a refund of the purchase price and this decision is confirmed in writing, then the customer will return the product and RIBAG will refund the purchase price. Components or products returned to RIBAG shall become the property of RIBAG under the terms of the warranty. 4.2. The customer shall bear all the ancillary costs that relate to the guarantee (e.g. for disassembly and reassembly, the shipping of the defective product, disposal, driving and travel times, installation aid devices). This warranty does not cover other costs, which are caused, for example, by the fail ure of the installation or other damages as well as consequential damages. 5. Conditions and exclusions 5.1. A condition for the validity of this warranty is the proper installation and maintenance of the product according to the instruc tions and codes of practice as well as the product and application specifications as predefined by RIBAG. The assembly instructions and the instruc tions for use and care are enclosed with the delivery of each product. They can also be found on the website www.ribag.com.

5.2. The warranty does not cover: • Wear parts, like for example, colour films, due to wear; • Fragile parts, like for example, lighting fixtures, lamps, due to breakage; • Consumables, like for example, lamps, due to use; • Components and products that RIBAG distributes as merchandise, (e.g. emer gency lighting units, lamps from other manufacturers); • Minor deviations of RIBAG products from the target quality, which do not influence the practical value of the product in any way; • Operational and handling errors, damages due to aggressive environmental influenc es, chemicals and detergents; • Product defects that are caused during the installation, transport or operation of the product that was not carried out by RIBAG employees, as well as damages that arose as a result of defective RIBAG products; • The failure of LED components or elec trical devices that are within the nominal failure rate of 0.2% per 1000 operating hours, unless stated otherwise in the product and application specifications (data sheet). • The luminous flux of LED products of less than 0.6% per 1000 operating hours. • Deviations in the lighting characteristics of LED products in subsequent deliv eries when compared with the original products, which are due to usage-based changes and technological advances. 5.3. The warranty is no longer valid in the following instances: • Failure to observe the instructions for assembly and care and the instruction manual provided or those available for ref erence on the website www.ribag.com; • Exceeding the limit values for tempera tures and voltages; • Installing and operating lamps that do not correspond to the IEC specifications; • Inappropriate mechanical loads; • Modification of the product from its origi nal state by the customer;

Assembly, maintenance, repair or servic ing by unqualified personnel; Product damages caused by the vendor, installer or third parties; Damages due to normal wear and tear or wilful damage (in the case of damages due to negligence, a contributory negligence will be charged by mutual agreement); Improper installation or start-up; Inadequate or improper maintenance; Products that have not been or are not being used in accordance with their intended purpose; Damages due to a force majeure or natural disaster.

Governing law and jurisdiction This warranty is subject to Swiss law with the exclusion of the Vienna Sales Convention. The place of performance for obligations arising from this warranty is Safenwil, Switzerland. As far as it is legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction is Safenwil, Switzerland.

Cost apportionment in cases of exclusions from the warranty 6.1. If a product defect is not covered by the warranty as described above, the costs incurred in sending and transporting the product will be borne by the customer. In addition, the customer has to bear the costs, including any labour costs, resulting from the examination of the products as well as the costs for dismantling and re-installing the product. If the customer is informed by RIBAG that there are no grounds for a claim under warranty, then he must pay for the costs that result from the repair work he requested as well as the costs for the spare parts and labour. 6.2. If the defect is not perceptible on the product when it is delivered, then RIBAG has the discretion in each case to decide whether it should be eliminated as a gesture of goodwill. In this instance, the customer is not legally entitled to the removal of the defect.

Legal rights The consumer has legal rights in addition to those under the warranty. These more favourable rights for the consumer under certain circumstances are not restricted by the warranty.
