Gentle, discreet and loyal, Catherine had a near-unbroken attendance record and an unfailing happy and welcoming disposition towards clients, messengers and staff alike. We’ll miss her but trust she’ll enjoy a fulfilling retirement which we know
she’s kicking off by joining the local ‘old-ladies’ (her term) club in Soweto devoted to helping out in the community. She’ll also be spending quality time with her husband, Bennett, son Patrick and daughter Patience.
Catherine Mahamo Promech Publishing wishes Catherine Mahamo a long and rewarding retirement. Catherine worked for Promech for twenty years, having joined the team in March 1996. Responsible for reception, ad traffic control and circulation, hers was the first voice our clients heard, particularly before the days of cellphones. Together we all embarked on the journey from Kodak cameras and collecting litho positives, to emails, excel and WeTransfer.
All us 20-year Promech service record-holders had a special lunch: Samson Makamo, Simon Shange, Catherine Mokgethi, Susan Custers, Patience Mahamo, Catherine Mahamo, Anne Rotteglia, complete with cold weather blankets. Patrick Mahamo was the photographer
