In-Motion Weighing Systems Pioneer of in-motion rail and road weighing systems, SA Automation has made major inroads into Africa with three supply contracts recently processed for SADEC countries. A Datarail 100 system for weighing throughput of fertilizers has been manufactured for a Zimbabwean phosphate producer, two Datarail 100 are installed in Zambia to weigh rail trucks on a tippler weighbridge and the latest contract is in Mozambique for a coal loadout station for two Datarail in-motion weighing systems. Full-on automation obviates the need for continual manning. Apart from cost effectiveness as installation is easy and quick requiring no difficult civil works, an important advantage of these systems is that SA Automation fully manufactures the Datarail 100 in-house in South Africa. The systems, complete with controller, is shipped to site for installation and final calibration and commisioning.
