E G A P S T N E D I PRES May I extend a warm welcome to you all,as you sit back and enjoy Barnum, which is the highlight of my year as President of the Bradford Catholic Players. I have been a member of the Bradford Catholic Players for more years than I care to remember and I have taken part in many shows and concerts. It is a wonderful society, consisting of families and friends who meet weekly to share a common interest in music, drama and friendship!.
DENneTdy I S E R P ine Ken
Many people work tirelessly to produce 'professional productions' for audiences who come back year after year. The cast has been busy preparing for Barnum during the past few months and everyone has had great fun learning circus skills, which has resulted in 'blistered feet' for our own Barnum, as he has relentlessly practiced tightrope walking!. A huge "thank you" is extended to the production team, the tea makers, the backstage crew, the front of house team, and all the musicians who have contributed to making this show a huge "success".
Joseph
Finally, whether your days are full of RED and GOLD or SAGE and BROWN - or whether you think Barnum is full of "HUMBUG" or "A MAN OF VISION", I hope you have an enjoyable evening where you laugh and perhaps shed a tear as Barnum copes with what life throws at him. Thank you for your support in helping us to raise money for local charities. I look forward to seeing you all again at next year's Broadway Version of "The Pirates of Penzance". God Bless and safe journey home.

S E I R A U T I B O PAULINE JOYCE Pauline was one of our Societies unsung heroes, never going on stage or seeking the limelight. For over twenty five years Pauline helped to make tea at our rehearsals almost every week of the year. She turned out in all weathers, mainly on the bus, to make sure the members had their refreshments. The week before our last Alhambra production 'Anything Goes' Pauline died, and even though this was our busiest time of the year, a great crowd attended her funeral. It was a marvellous show of respect and Pauline would have been delighted.
DOROTHY 'Dot' CHAMBERS Dot was a stalwart member of our Society for almost fifty years and was an Honorary Life Vice President. She supported her husband Denis during his terms as President and Chairman. She was always willing to help where it was needed. Dot always had time and encouragement for the younger members and had a unique sense of humour and fun. The sound of her infectious laughter was always heard in the Alhambra foyer as she sold programmes. Over the last few years Dot was not in the best of health The final curtain came down on 'Anything Goes' and Dot died a few hours later. The only production she had ever missed.
