PRESIDENTS PAGE
Dear Friends,
PRESIDENT
When I accepted the role of President for this year, the theme of my acceptance speech was that of pride. Having spent numerous years caught in the glare of the spotlights, I am fully aware of what it takes to keep The Bradford Catholic Players amongst the Premiership Teams. This year I will be sitting in the auditorium, no doubt with a knot in my stomach, knowing what everybody involved in this production is going through. Rest assured however, I will be as proud as Punch. Proud of live theatre. Proud of my society and proud that you,our patrons are enjoying your night out, and helping us to raise thousands of pounds to donate to our chosen charities.

OBITUARIES DOROTHY WALKER This year we lost a lady for whom the word 'stalwart' could have been coined. The dictionary meaning of this word is 'loyal, reliable and hard working' and Dorothy Walker was every one of these. Dorothy started her B.C.P. life on-stage, before turning her hand and considerable drive to many back-stage areas of the Society, including the props team. Latterly she could be found at the majority of rehearsals and performances keeping the cast going with tea and coffee. In 1995-96, Dorothy was invited to take up the office of President of the Society and was later further honoured when her membership status was elevated to that of Honorary Life Vice President,in recognition of her exceptional contribution to The Bradford Catholic Players. Always so encouraging, always so supportive, Dorothy will be sadly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with Arthur,Martin,Janet and their families.
