he IX St. Petersburg International Property Show took place at Lenexpo between 26-27 October and the level of business activity was rather high, making the exhibition a huge success.

The participants representing North Cyprus at the show included: Propertync, Döveç Construction and North Shore Constructions. As well as the Propertync magazine, other brochures from Busy Bees, Carringtons and The Property Centre were also distributed.
Kuzey Kıbrıs’ı temsil eden şirketler, Propertync Dergisi, Döveç Construction ve North Shore Constructions’dı. Propertync dergileri yanısıra Busy Bees, Carringtons ve The Property Centre gibi şirketler adına bir çok broşür de dağıtıldı.
There was a lot of interest shown towards North Cyprus properties with people attending consisting mostly of couples above 45 years of age. Even though there were several companies representing the Republic of Cyprus, there was quite a lot of interest towards the TRNC and several people attended the exhibition specifically to learn more just about the north.

Burçin Döveç, director of Döveç Constructions, reported 35 leads and six clients already booked for a visit to their properties. North Shore sales representative Nelly Fedotova, states; “North Shore Constructions and Estates participated in the St.Petersburg International Property Show for the first time and have to admit there was an excellent target audience and a huge marketing step for the company. This Property Show was effective for us due to the time of year: in Autumn people tend not just to gather information to consider, but they are ready to come to visit properties, and to choose.” From the many years of exhibitions have taken place in Russia, this was definitely the most promising one, as the visitors showed great interest.

One surprise for Propertync was a visit from the Turkish ambassador Dr. Tanju Bilgiç from the St. Petersburg Turkish embassy, to show support. Mehmet Kozansoy, director of Propertync magazine states that: “the exhibition was a great success, we had absolutely no problems in distributing the magazines. My only wish is for there to be more North Cyprus representatives at the next exhibition. “The next International Property show will take place at Moscow, between the dates 8-9 of March 2013 and another International Property show will take place at St. Petersburg between the dates 29 -30 March 2013, where we will be representing North Cyprus and inviting others to join us. We wil be offering stands for reasonable prices. Our main aim is to get the word out and represent our island the way it deserves to be known.”

What did you think of the Russian Property Exhibition? The Property Exhibition in Russia really fulfilled my expectations. It was professionally organised and I was pleased to see how brilliantly everything was arranged. The numbert of people attending and interested in our properties was very pleasing. What kind of benefits did attending the Russian Property exhibition add to your company? We were able to communicate with Russian buyers and learn exactly what they want and expect from the Property sector. We took many leads and gained 30 potential customers for our company. These developments are not just improvements for our company, representing our country to 400 other companies and their employees is a big step for all of us as a nation. Therefore, we shouldn’t perceive this as an individual success, we must see it as progress for our nation. What is your view on the Property market in Russia? Are you planning on attending the upcoming Property Exhibition? Our country has many unique, great qualities such as its weather, its nature, its historical features and the great prices in properties. These are the Wgreat qualities that attract the Russian property investors attention, for this reason I will definitely be attending the upcoming exhibition. What do you expect for the future of the Russia – North Cyprus property interest? I believe this interest will continue to increase. Anyone that is interested in North Cyprus properties, also involves their family and friends, and even bring them for visits to the island. Therefore the cycle grows. The fact that Russia isn’t a part of the European Union means that they are not affected by the economical lockdown and are also not affected by the embargo set for North Cyprus lands. For these reasons I believe Russians will find exactly what they’re looking for, fulfil their dreams and continue buy homes from our beautiful island.
Rusya’da yapılan emlak fuarını nasıl buldunuz? Emlak Fuarı’nın; beklentilerimizi karşılayan, profesyonelce hazırlanmış, mükemmel bir organizasyon olduğunu gördük. Katılımcıların Kuzey Kıbrıs’ın emlak sektörüne olan ilgisi de bizi ayrıca memnun etti. Rusya’da gerçekleştirilen emlak fuarına katılmak, şirketinize neler kazandırdı? Öncelikle Rus pazarının müşteri portföyü ile müşterilerin beklentilerini ve neler istediklerini görme şansı bulduk. Bunun dışında önemli temaslar ve bağlantılar kurup, şirketimiz için 30 potansiyel müşteri kazandık. Fuarın şirketimize kazandırdıkları dışında, ayrıca 400 yabancı şirkete Kuzey Kıbrıs’ı tanıtıma fırsatı da yakalamış olduk. Kısacası bu fuara katılımı bireysel kazanç olarak değil, ülkemizi tanıtma adına da bir kazanç olarak görebiliriz. Rusya’daki emlak piyasasına bakış açınız nedir? Buna bağlı olarak gelecek Uluslararası Emlak Fuarı’na katılmayı düşünüyor musunuz? Ülkemizin; gerek iklimi, doğal ve tarihi güzellikleri, gerekse emlak piyasasının uygun fiyatları Rus müşterilere çok cazip geliyor ve bu nedenle Kuzey Kıbrıs’taki emlak piyasasına sıcak bakıyorlar. Buna bağlı olarak, tabii ki gelecek emlak fuarına da katılmayı düşünüyoruz. Rusya – Kuzey Kıbrıs emlak ticaretinin geleceği için neler düşünüyorsunuz? Bu ilginin artarak devam edeceğini düşünüyoruz. Kuzey Kıbrıs’taki emlak piyasası ile ilgilenip, ziyaret edenler aile ve arkadaşlarını da getiriyor, böylece çember gittikçe büyüyor. Rusya, Avrupa Birliği’ne üye olmadığından, ekonomik bir çıkmaz içinde değil. Avrupa Birliği’ne üye olmaması, Kuzey Kıbrıs’tan arsa almaları konusunda engel olmadığı anlamına da geliyor. Bu nedenlerden dolayı düşlerini gerçekleştirebilecekleri bu ülkede, her Rus yatırımcı ev sahibi olmak isteyecektir.
