Web 2.0 and Google Tools class agenda PUT PACT WEBSITE ON WHITEBOARD – tell them to add it to favorites DISCUSS: • Welcome back – introduce yourself – go over bathroom, leave when you need to. • Discuss class differs from others – many tools will be reviewed as opposed to learning just one…review some things google does besides searching……. • Keep that in mind when looking for what project you will do • discuss web 2.0 what is it…..it’s really just a buzzword – • back in the 90s when people started using internet it was mostly one way – you could search – read online – use email,etc.- wysiwyg - it is now what they refer to as web 1.0 • then things started to change with RSS and other programs • interactive – students and teachers can create right on the internet; some things yoy are probably being used already…but didn’t give it a name…. • collaborate with each other; other school; students, etc. • new tools come out all the time – I’ve listed a couple places for you on the home page where you can keep up with new trends that come out all the time • most of the time it is free but not always….be careful GO TO WEB20ANDGOOGLE AND REVIEW WEBSITE HOME PAGE - . •
