Prepare to Prosper (P2P) transition services are designed to facilitate a seamless transition from high school to adult life based on a student’s postsecondary goals. Students are ages 18-21, have already met their credit requirements for graduation, and have been individually determined to need additional training and support in order to prepare to meet those postsecondary goals. Some students in P2P may be working on vocational skills to help them prepare for competitive or supported employment, some may be working toward future volunteering and participation in community-based programs, while others may be working on increasing their participation in daily living activities to help participate as much as possible in a day habilitation program or while working with caregivers in their home. Emphasis is on connecting students with the routines and schedules that they will access in adulthood.

P2P students participate in a variety of activities depending on their postsecondary goals, their interests, and their needs, including internships at local employers, campus-based jobs, student enterprises where they learn valuable skills while producing various products, and through philanthropic activities to serve the community. Prosper Education Foundation grants enabled P2P to start their student enterprises.
