Superintendent’s Council - Connecting with Student Leaders

Students having a voice in their education is crucial to the success of a district. While there are several ways for student voices to be heard in Prosper ISD, one group that is most central is the Prosper ISD Superintendent’s Council. This council is made up of high school students from throughout the district. The council meets three to four times each year to discuss concerns and forge solutions to issues facing the district.

PHS Junior, Zach Spurr, is on the council for a second year. Last year he enjoyed being “able to express our concerns. It allowed us to have a voice and use the voice to work with adults on a plan and idea on how we feel and what we feel needs to be changed. It is important that students get their voices heard because we can bring a perspective that adults don’t always see.”
