Who We Are Who We Are
PROSPER INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
We are excited that you are showing interest in Prosper ISD! We are one of the fastest growing districts in Texas and the nation, giving us so many more students, staff, and families to love every year. This also means that Prosper ISD offers employees the unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally as the schools grow and additional positions are added.
Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 28,000 students in 1 early childhood school, 17 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 3 high schools with more campuses opening every year.
Consistently rated as one of the Niche Best Schools in Texas and the US, joining Prosper ISD means that you will be joining a school district committed to pursuing excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students are routinely recognized on the local, state and national level for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.
As our Graduate Profile demonstrates, at Prosper ISD we are committed to the overall growth of all students and all programs. We are proud of our Academic, Athletic, Fine Arts, and CTE programs that provide our students with a multitude of opportunities to find their niche in life. We are also proud of the commitment to student and staff social emotional health. Our Hope Squads have been a great addition to the district providing many with a source of help and guidance in moments of struggle or need.
We are also committed to the growth of our staff. Both at the campus and the district level, you will find multiple opportunities for growth and learning with campus and district support for your innovation and endeavors toward improving student outcomes in the classroom and beyond. Prosper ISD is also committed to growing our leadership from within. You will find opportunities to get involved, be mentored, and see doors open providing opportunities for new positions.
Finally, you will find that Prosper ISD is a family that loves and supports one another. While we have the size and growth of a large district, our heart remains in our small town beginnings as evidenced by our vision statement, “Grounded by Tradition. Soaring to New Beginnings.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Holly Ferguson Superintendent of Schools
