American Rescue Plan Act Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund (ESSER) Prosper ISD Plan Updated 1/2022
Prosper ISD Use of Funds Plan Overview Prosper ISD submitted an application to the Texas Education Agency and was awarded Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER lll) funds under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021. The intent and purpose of the funding is to sustain the safe operation of schools and address student learning needs as a result of the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Prosper ISD received the following allocations:

In addition to the ESSER lll allocation, Prosper ISD submitted an application to the Texas Education Agency and was awarded ESSER Supplemental (ESSER-SUPP) funds. ESSER Supplemental funds are also a result of the ARP Act. The allocation received from program is as follows: 2021-2022 Allocation $7,094,128
2022-2023 Allocation $7,094,128
ESSER lll grant funds must be spent by September 2024 and ESSER Supplemental grant funds must be spent by August 2024. In accordance with requirements, the development of the plan was made with required stakeholders. Public Notice was posted on the PISD website on May 26, 2021 and a survey was sent to all required stakeholders on June 2,2021. The district reviewed the survey data and feedback. This information was used to develop the plan to address the needs of the students. Prosper ISD, in consultation with stakeholders identified priority needs. These areas are Student Learning Needs, including Social Emotional support and Health and Safety Enhancements. An ESSER Committee will meet at least once every six months to review and revise the plan as needed.

Activities to Support Health and Safety Enhancements ● Cleaning supplies to sanitize and clean facilities ● Purchase high efficiency filters and replace throughout the year to improve air quality
Alignment of ESSER Allowability Activities ● Purchasing supplies to sanitize and clean facilities of the LEA. ● Inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement, and upgrade projects to improve the indoor air quality in school facilities.
