Case Study: Wild Water Kingdom Wild Water Kingdom, a 100-acre amusement park in Ontario, Canada. Numerous water attractions and slides, as well as several non-swimming activities.
An underground pipe system that recycles water and feeds it back to a splash pad (small water area for small children) Plastic pipe with diameters ranging from 150mm (6") to 355mm (14"), located 2.4m (8ft) below the splash pad and concrete.
Case Study: Wild Water Kingdom Sections of the pipe had broken from normal wear and tear, causing rocks and sand to be sucked into the pumps. The sprinklers were then releasing the rocks and brown water back into the splash pad. Pipe replacement would have been time-consuming, disruptive, expensive, and unsightly for other park users. Nu Flow technicians used existing access points to install the Nu Drain system and cover all breaches in the pipe. Works were carried out at night when the park was closed, so customers did not know any work was being carried out. The system was fully repaired and operational within 48hours and no destruction to the park was caused.
6” pipe opening into a 14” pipe with visible sand and gravel present
Case Study: Horseshoe Adventure Resort Ski resort and adventure park open year-round in Ontario, Canada. Leaking waterfall pipe at an 18-hole miniature golf course 9m (30ft) of 150mm (6”) corrugated hose for the miniature golf waterfall, located underneath the pump room and the finished course. The hose was punctured during the set up and completion of the course and only discovered a week before its grand opening.
Case Study: Horseshoe Adventure Resort Traditional replacement was not an option, as it would require digging through the finished course Nu Flow inserted the Nu Drain ‘Pull-inPlace’ structural liner in the existing pipe from an access point in the pump house. Avoided the need for digging and reconstruction, preserving landscape and hardscape. The project was completed in a quick and efficient manner and the grand opening was not postponed as a result.
Case Study: Famous U.S. Theme Park A famous U.S. theme park Fibre glass drain lines for a large pool that holds more than a million gallons of water 300mm (12") drain pipe which collects water from the pool’s two drains and brings it to the pump room for recirculation Transition section that leads to the pump room had diameters of 510mm (20") to 405mm (16"), a vertical to horizontal to horizontal elbow. Pipe were leaking and located underneath the large pool, landscape, sidewalks and seating areas for theme park visitors
Case Study: Famous U.S. Theme Park Traditional repipe would have caused an excruciating amount of downtime and damage, which would have impaired the ability for the theme park to operate normally Repipe was estimated to cost at least twice as much as Nu Flow’s non-destructive solution Used existing access points to clean and line the underground drain lines
This application was completed without damaging the large pool or surrounding areas within seven working days. The prestigious customer was pleased with the custom solutions and fast execution time.
Case Study: Wildlife Park Water Zone 700 acre Wildlife Park in Canada, which features more than 1,000 exotic animals and other attractions for families. The children’s water adventure zone within the park features a playground, a shallow pool and several water sprinklers, spouts and geysers. 12mm (½”) PVC water supply line for the sprinklers in the children’s water zone, located 1.8m (6ft) under concrete slab beneath the water park.
Case Study: Wildlife Park Water Zone Maintenance within the wildlife park accidently drilled through the water supply line, creating several leaks Didn’t want to dig up the pipe or close the water zone Nu Drain structural liner was installed inside the pierced pipe to cover all breaches and will prevent future failures from occurring Nu Flow technicians performed this work without any disruption to the park’s normal business operations
