Bringing back the Ghost Streams of the Gowanus
A project to mark the historical edges of Gowanus creek by using rain water permeable paving stones at new street end sponge parks and rain gardens. On blocks further upland the creek’s course would be marked by double rows of granite pavers, acting as traffic calming devices and memory markers.
