My Weight Matters is a weight management programme for adults which follows NHS guidance and is evidence based. It focuses on eating a healthy balanced diet, managing your portions (serving sizes) and helping you to be more active in your daily life. My Weight Matters is not a ‘diet’ and not a quick fix solution. The aim of the programme is to support you to lose weight in a safe, steady and controlled way and help you to change unhealthy habits for healthier ones. Our aim is to help you to build your skills, knowledge and confidence to manage your weight effectively. We recommend that you come along for 12 weeks as experience shows that people who attend for at least this length of time are most successful. The first 6 sessions are structured with each week covering a new topic. The following sessions can be tailored to your individual needs.
