Comuna 13 is a sector of the city of Medellín that has grown in a historical process of uncontrolled occupation of its slopes, a process that for years has been accompanied by social conflicts on behalf of groups outside the law that have turned it into a territory of "invisible borders".
Climbing up the western slopes you can see the intricate access and limitations offered by countless staircases that are engraved in the memories of its inhabitants, who daily have to undertake long walks through this urban labyrinth that as it ascends its complexity increases. .
This complexity is accompanied by a sensation of imaginary lines that generate in the inhabitants a feeling of risk, although over time they learn to recognize these "borders", on numerous occasions fatal events of inhabitants who have mistakenly crossed these limits have been lamented that sometimes lead to “accidental” death or “enforced” disappearance.
