World’s education crisis

Purpose driven education that leads to valuable members of a society with the focus on not only succeeding, but also helping make the world a better place Tolerance, respect, kindness, generosity, empathy, patience, hard work, sense of justice, sharing...

3 Education based on personal goals and dreams Self Awareness and goal setting to better understand how to help each student achieve his or her goals and fulfill his or her potential

4 Maximize the use of the available technology for education Reduce the gap between existing technology and the technology used in education to better take advantage of the tools that we have available Not only the idea of using tablets or laptops in school, but leveraging the power of connectivity and communications, virtual reality experiences, Augmented reality, translation tools, information and project management tools, video games, and others

5 Education for economic prosperity Education has to help everyone have a successful economic life. In the current model schools help us prepare for university, university gives us the degree and masters that will help us apply for a job that will eventually give us the money we need to pay for life. Money is a key factor in our world and we never teach how to make, maintain or better spend money. You may not need a degree, you may not need a masters, you may not even need to finish school, but you need money. Besides moral values and general rules of society, the only thing that is needed for everyone is money. n How to make money n Money Management

n How to reduce costs of living

n How to adapt to market changes n Career paths

n Entrepreneurship

6 Educate on career paths and their options Show clearly all the types of professions, companies, organizations, departments and sectors they can work in, pros and cons and what it requires to get there. Schools fail to show students the real options the real world have for their careers. We have a limited vision of what we can do and how to do it, when, in reality, everything is more open. Visits to companies, institutions, media, Ngos of all sectors and talk to professionals to really understand their options, what they like the most and what it really takes to be successful in those fields Strategically organize visits to make sure they end up knowing enough about all industries and professions before getting to university. Public and private sector, banking, insurance, construction, tourism, airlines, hotels, fashion, luxury, retail, internet, ecommerce, healthcare, legal...

7 Education for the new world and the new market We need to include the knowledge and skills that will be needed in the new world. We keep training for jobs that have already disappeared or are about to do so. 40 percent of jobs will disappear in the next years, but the information we give students remains the same. There will be several generations that have an obsolete skillset and the market will have trouble to get the right people to survive and prosper in this new, disruptive and uncertain world.

8 empower kids Kids are capable of doing incredible things but we keep limiting them, forcing them to learn things they don’t want to know and may not use in the future, and preventing them from doing what they want, they are interested in, passionate about, we stop them from creating, researching and doing to just give them information to pass exams. We have to give kids the chance to create, to launch projects, to follow their dreams and passions. They will not only learn more, but they will create a better future for themselves, they will invest incredible amounts of energy, they will be happier and they will end up providing a great value to society way before university. Kids can become scientists, athletes, actors, writers, painters, chefs, entrepreneurs or social activists if we allow them to, and not only they will love to do it, but that will be for sure the best way to provide value to society while creating a better future for themselves. In the real world, experience, initiative and activity are key to succeed. In the current system we forbid them to do anything that is not memorizing for exams until they are 24 and they don’t want to learn or do anything anymore, and they just hope to get a good job to feel disappointed at some point because is not what they expected and it pays way less than what they need.

9 Project based education In the professional world everything is run by projects, plans with goals, expected results, strategies, development, execution, revision... in schools and universities we rarely see projects, so it is difficult to make students good at really creating something, executing, solving problems and achieving goals. Education based in projects can help students be more resourceful, ambitious, aware of what can be achieved and, at the same time, the effort, patience, time and dedication that every project requires. Both, personal and professional projects are key to success. Knowledge and skills are key. Being able to set goals, action plans, use your knowledge, skills and resources to effectively achieve those goals, is the single most important thing in the real world and their future lives Create a real company and get real revenue as bachelor or master final project
