Dawson Creek and District Hospital Replacement
Construction has begun on the new state-of-the-art Dawson Creek and District Hospital to address current and future health and patient care needs in the region.
The project cost is approximately $590 million, which will be shared between the Province through Northern Health and the Peace River Regional Hospital District (PRRHD). The district will contribute a maximum of $177 million.
“This announcement is exciting news. The new hospital will provide a modern care facility for the residents of the Peace region for years to come,” said Leonard Hiebert, Chair of PRRHD. “The Peace River Regional Hospital District is a proud supporter of this new facility, and we are pleased that construction is underway on this very important project.”
The new hospital is projected to finish construction and welcome patients in 2027.
