For us, the results are not just a guiding light - they’re a template for what snowboard design can be.
A new vision of riding, inspired by nature.
NIDECKER TECHNOLOGY
COMMITED TO SNOWBOARDDING SINCE 1984
The word innovation has become a generic term that means everything and nothing at the same time. But at Nidecker, it has defined our inspirational approach to product development since the beginning. Being forward-thinking and developing innovative processes and techniques allows us to set trends rather than follow them. By imagining the future, we create the present.
Our Tech-Wheel is the easiest way to figure out which board is made for you. It shows all the information you need to know about each board quickly and clearly, including the level of rider and terrain
TERRAIN
What terrain do you like best? All our boards are designed to be versatile chargers, but different boards work better in different parts of the mountain.
POWDER
Deep fresh snow, fresh tracks and face shots - boards with a high powder rating will often have a longer nose and setback stance to shift your weight back and avoid leg burn.
RESORT
Cruising pistes, finding side hits and laying down carves - resort-rated boards are designed to perform anywhere you want to ride in-bounds, on groomed or natural terrain.
PARK
Riding switch, hitting kickers and sliding boxes - boards with a high park rating are perfect for progressing your freestyle riding on, from park features to backcountry booters or urban rails.
type for which it’s intended, and a rating for specifications such as floatability, riding switch, high speed stability and carvability.
RIDING LEVEL
It’s never easy to judge yourself. No matter how well you ride, the number one rule on the mountain is to never overestimate your abilities. Even on the most mismatched equipment for your skill set, you'll still have fun linking a few turns. But, if you're honest with yourself, you'll end up with the right gear and have a great time, every time you ride. That’s what snowboarding is all about.
BEGINNER
We’ve all been there. Even the best snowboarders in the world were beginners once upon a time. We define a beginner as a rider who is just starting out or who hasn't progressed past green and blue slopes. Of course, if you have a bit more experience, but enjoy an easy going ride, these boards will work perfectly for you, too.
INTERMEDIATE
This level is all about improving your snowboarding skills. You've mastered the basics, and want to progress to the next level. These boards are made for riders who are starting to explore the whole mountain and are looking for a more dynamic and responsive ride.
ADVANCED
Advanced riders can handle pretty much everything the mountain has to offer, and like to push their personal limits no matter their preferred choice of terrain or riding style. The boards in this category are designed to live up to the highest performance standards, no matter how hard you put them to the test.
SET UP
HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR STANCE?
xwhat you think feels good for you. It's about optimizing the harmony between rider and board. For the last few years we’ve worked with top specialists in the field of human anatomy to develop a scientific way to determine the stance that will get the best performance out
NATURAL STANCE O
The Natural Stance is a calculation of your body’s skeletal geometry, which we determine by using something called the Golden Ratio. This optimum stance width is found by measuring the distance from the floor to the middle of your knee. It makes a triangle between your belly button and feet to give you the correct ratio of balance to force, without putting too much stress on your joints.
CARVING STANCE
The carving stance is simply your natural stance, the best ratio of balance to power. It gives you all the force you need to hold your edge driving through turns.
ALL MOUNTAIN STANCE
The all-mountain stance is your natural stance + 2 cm. It’s the optimum mix of performance and comfort, perfect for cruising all day on the slopes and in the backcountry.
FREERIDE STANCE
TECK-WHEEL FLEXRATE
The freeride stance is your natural stance + 4 cm. It helps absorb chop, increases stability at high speeds and makes it super easy to lean into turns and land big drops in powder.
FREESTYLE STANCE
The freestyle stance is your natural stance + 6 to 10 cm. It gives you the best balance and stability for landing jumps and riding switch. Although not as carving oriented, it’s also the recommended stance for less experienced riders looking to improve their overall technique.
of your board, depending on your body type and riding style. First, you have to find your natural stance then just make some small adjustments that correspond to the way you like to ride.
The Flex is one of the most important characteristics of a board. Even though it’s invisible and sometimes hard to feel, it’s the heart and soul of the board and gives a deck its character and life. It’s worked into the construction through multiple components such as the type of core and its thickness, the types of glass fibres used as well as extra materials like carbon or Kevlar...as well as the topsheet and the base material, of course. Every piece plays an important role, and like cooking, it’s not enough just to have good ingredients. It’s knowing how to measure them out and mix them all together that counts. To feel the flex of a board yourself takes practice, but a good start would be to hold the board at the contact point with your forearm, then place the other contact point on the ground and push the centre of the board with your free hand. Don’t just look for how far it bends, see how quikly it bounces back.

CHARACTERISTICS RATING
The board specifications are ratings of the key riding characteristics of each board from 1 (lowest performance) to 10 (highest performance) to give you an idea which one comes closest to matching your riding style.
FLOATABILITY
This is a rating of how quickly a board reaches planing speed, or starts "floating" on the snow. Of course, all boards will float when they reach a high enough speed, but this tells you how fast the board will lift up off the snow when you first drop in. On deep powder days, this is the most important board spec there is.
CARVABILITY
This rating measures a board's performance when it comes to carving. By definition, snowboards are designed to turn, but different sidecuts and flex patterns mean there's a huge difference between boards designed for slashing up springtime slush and those for laying down horizontal carves on icy hard pack.
SWITCH
This is a measure of how well a board performs riding switch. Just like in a slopestyle or halfpipe contest, if you're a pure freestyler you're looking for a perfect score.
SPEED STABILITY
This tells you how stable a board is at high speeds. Our boards all feel solid under your feet, but you can never have too much stability when your main goal on the mountain is to ride down it as fast as you can.
A board’s setup is the combination of stance width and binding angles. Just as is the case with your stance, the angles of your feet are directly related to your preferred riding style.
– The angle of your front foot establishes the direction and engages turns.
FREERIDE SETUP
The following angle recommendations for your freeride stance
– Front foot between +21° and +30° for engaging turns
– Back foot between 0° and +9° for stability and pop
TAIL NOSE
FREESTYLE SETUP
The following angle recommendations for your freestyle stance
– Front foot between +6° and +21° for drive
– Back foot between -15° and 0° for stability, pop and riding switch
TAIL
– The angle of your back foot gives the balance and energy to finish turns or to pop.
ALL-MOUNTAIN SETUP
The following angle recommendations for your all-mountain stance
– Front foot between +15° and +24° for engaging turns
– Back foot between -6° and +6° for stability, pop and riding switch.
CARVING SETUP
The following angle recommendations for your carving stance
– Front foot between +24° and +36° for engaging turns
– Back foot between 0° and +15° for stability and rebound

SHAPE
It’s not hard to make a good looking snowboard, what is hard is making a snowboard that rides well. There are hundreds of boards out there, but only a handful really stand out. To create the best snowboards , you need a knowledge of shaping and material engineering that you can only get through experience. With over 100 years in
winter sports product development, we’ve come to the conclusion that the eye and knowledge of a shaper will always outweigh that of a CAD designer. There’s nothing we enjoy more than the hours of riding, conceptualizing, sharing and testing that we put into each and every model in our line.
A 1 DIRECTIONAL With over fifty years of proven performance, directional shapes have a nose longer than the tail and excel at float, glide, carving and stability in variable snow.
A 2 DIRECTIONAL TWIN The best of both worlds, a directional twin shape has a slightly longer nose which gives it more float and stability, but a much longer tail allowing you a more balanced riding position and easier switch riding. That makes it a great choice for freestyle-leaning riders.
A 3 TWIN-TIP With the tail shape the mirror-image of the nose, the TwinTip shape provides a superlative switch-stance riding experience making it right at home taking off or landing backwards, making a truly two-way ride.
B NOSE SHAPE As the first contact point with the snow, a board’s nose is the starting point in determining its character traits and end performance. Get it right and it’s the gateway to the very essence of snowboarding.
B 1 ALL ROUND Easy and smooth to ride, this classic snowboard shape has stood the test of time. With a pure and simple transition, we use it in all of our entry-level boards.
B 2 DIAMOND POW This is a freeride-specific shape specially created for the Mellow, our freeride board that gives you that surfing feeling, we’ve extended the transition from the contact points into the nose to reduce the overall size of the board and give it extra float.
B 3 CURVY BLUNT This ultra-wide nose allows us to shift forward the contact point for extended running length. The high performance adds more floatability for a performance shortboard feel.
B 4 DIAMOND The agility of a pointy nose with the extra float created by a wider base. This nimble nose cuts through slush, pow and groomers with the same precision.
B 5 ROUND PIC The round but delicately pointy shape applies a freeride identity to an all-mountain form. A pure and simple transition with a sharp finish - just like a surfboard.
B 6 ASYM A uniquely offset teardrop nose outline for a unique, 3D riding experience.
C SIDECUT The radius is similar to the steering wheel of your car. A smaller radius will naturally make the board turn shorter, and vice versa. One of our secrets is adjusting the radius next to the contact edges: to make turning extra easy, which is why we match the appropriate sidecut to each board model and rider’s specifications (weight / shoe size).
C 1 R5 SERIES This 5+ meter radius is the one we use for our kids boards. It allows for quick turns to help young riders progress with confidence, and to ensure they have fun and learn the correct technique from day one.
C 2 R6 SERIES The short 6+ meter radius is the one we use for smaller and lighter snowboarders. It’s perfect for riders who prefer finesse to power, and want a board that delivers responsive, reassuring turns.
C 3 R7 SERIES From beginner to advanced level, this 7+ meter radius has proved to be the most suitable sidecut for riding with control and precision on any terrain.
C 4 R8 SERIES This medium 8+ meter radius is used on longer sized or carving machines. You’ll find your turns track dependably with minimal effort.
C 5 R9 SERIES This 9+ meter radius suits aggressive carving machines and creates a very stable board for laid-out, high g-force turns or straightlining. When combined with a stiff flexing board, get ready for a real adrenaline rush.
C 6 R10 SERIES This 10+ meter is the longest radius in our line. This feature is designed for hard chargers who want to shoot down mountains with the Gun.
D TAIL SHAPE You could be forgiven for thinking that the tail of your board isn’t really that important. Not so. The tail is a vital part of snowboard design. It’s what helps you finish your turn and initiate the next one - but it also becomes your nose when you’re riding switch. No matter what type of board you ride it’s always going to be an essential part of its make up.
D 1 ALL ROUND With a pure and simple transition it delivers an easy and smooth ride. Predictable and playful in turns, it acts as a second nose for riding switch. Very similar to the All-Round nose shape.
D 2 FISH This is the defining feature of our surfing-oriented snowboards. Since it’s specially designed to sink the tail in deep snow, we’re able to drastically reduce the overall length of the board. The reduced drag results in a far smoother overall ride.
D 3 BLUNT Super wide at its extremities, this tail design provides maximum stability for huge pops and tail-heavy landings. It gives more room for contact length, meaning increased performance and maximum control.
D 4 DIAMOND This evolution of the all-round tail is more compact with a longer transition for increased lift, allowing you to ride switch without compromising the board’s responsiveness.
D 5 Round Pic Pointy rountail with a pure and simple transition, ending in a modern freeride-inspired point, to allow for increased fluidity between turns.
D 6 ASYM A uniquely offset teardrop tail outline for a unique, 3D riding experience..
E 1 SETBACK The setback is the distance between the center of a board’s running edge and the center of the inserts. Our boards have a setback of 0mm to 60mm depending on the design and intended terrain. Setback increases nose flotation, manoeuvrability and tail control.
E 2 TAPER Narrower in the tail than the nose, a tapered shape is intended for freeriding and freecarving. In powder, the design allows the tail to sink, giving more lift and allowing a board to be ridden while leaning forward due to the larger surface area under the front foot. It delivers a surf-style feeling in powder and more fluid transitions from edge to edge everywhere else.
F PROFILE The profile is a board’s shape as viewed from the side and depends on the style of riding for which a board has been built. Equally important, especially for flex and rebound, is the profile of the wood core. It’s the determining factor in a board’s overall flex characteristics and performance. Our years of experience have helped us fine-tune this process to perfection.
F 1 CAMBER Positive Camber is the bedrock for performance snowboards. Its extra grip and powerful response have made it the default choice for riders looking for optimum carving performance. The secret to our advanced camber is the addition of 8 to 10 cm flat transitions at the contact points, delivering the ultimate in precision, edge hold and stability.
F 2 FREERIDE CAMROCK Freeride CamRock gives you everything you need to handle big backcountry lines. A longer rocker in the nose, camber under the feet and a reduced rocker in the tail makes for a maneuverable, confidence inspiring board with lots of float to really push the limits of freeriding.
F 3 SURFY CAMROCK Surfy CamRock delivers that special feeling of surfing on snow sought after by a new generation of freeriders. With a long rocker in the nose for optimal float and regular camber through the midsection and tail, it has all the reactivity you need to ride with lots of setback and a short tail.
F 4 CAMROCK CamRock represents the best rocker/camber combination in snowboarding today. This proven profile is perfect for riders who want to enjoy all aspects of snowboarding. With camber between the bindings and rocker evenly distributed in the nose and tail, this is the all-mountain, all-condition profile that will leave you stoked and smiling from ear to ear.
F 5 FLATROCK Flatrock is a three-phase camber construction. It’s flat between the bindings, with more rocker in the nose and tail. This result is board that grips like crampons on ice, floats like a dream in powder and makes sticking tricks a walk in the park.
F 6 EZ-ROCK The EZ-Rock is the profile that we designed specifically for our kid’s board, the Micron Magic. The V shaped profile allows younger riders to progress without the risk of catching an edge. It’s the perfect design for all the junior riders still getting to grips with edge control.
A 1 CLASSIC SANDWICH Our standard construction is the top of the line for most other brands. Our well proven, high quality materials allow us to produce great performing boards that don’t break the bank.
A 2 PREMIUM SANDWICH This next level construction steps up the power and response of our standard sandwich manufacturing. Adding advanced materials like carbon gives the board more pop and improved shock absorption.
A 3 NIDEACTIVE SANDWICH This exclusive Nidecker construction inspired by surf boards is a completely unique approach to snowboarding. The rounded top of the wood core and the consistent sidewall height are shaped in the same way as surfboard rails, enabling a maximum amount of pressure to be applied to the edges. It creates a special & unique feeling...try it and see for yoursel.
A 4 N-TECH 2.0 A major evolution of our already futuristic N-TECH construction process. The main feature is a 3D cap that increases the effect of the 3D torsion box construction between the feet. When combined with our Freeflex 3.0 technology in the nose and tail, it produces state-of-the-art flex and stress distribution patterns that are unique in snowboard manufacturing.
B 1 ABSORBNID Absorbnid is an innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations. This allows us to develop responsive, dynamic boards that still give you a smooth and fatigue free ride.
B 2 WOOD VENEER The wood veneer top layer delivers added responsiveness and is the most natural way to find the best balance between absorption and pop.
B 3 CARBONID Carbonid is a full carbon top layer developed especially for our dynamic, top of the range boards. Mixed with the multi-strand glass layers, this explosive combination delivers the ultimate in power and reactivity.
C 1 4/4-4 With 4 rows of inserts every 4 cm, this basic insert pattern offers a large possibility of stance options, and is the first step in finding your optimum stance when you start snowboarding. Our reference stance is the middle position.
C 2 4/2-3 With 3 rows of inserts every 2 cm, this minimal insert pattern offers fewer possibilities, making it easier for younger riders to choose which stance feels best. We only offer it on our Micron Magic model. Our reference stance is the middle position.
C 3 4/2-5 With 5 rows of inserts every 2 cm, this combination is the industry standard and works with all bindings on the market. Our reference stance is the middle position.
C 4 4/2-6 With 6 rows of inserts every 2 cm, this insert combination allows you to adjust your stance to the optimum position, and works with all bindings on the market. Our reference stance is the second narrowest position possible.
C 5 4/2-6 +1 With 6 rows of inserts every 2 cm, this insert combination allows you to adjust your stance to the optimum position, and works with all bindings on the market. Our reference stance is the second narrowest position possible. Use the extra tailward insert option for the very deepest days.
C 6 SSP Ride-mode binding inserts work with all splitboard bindings on the market today. Ascent mode inserts are balanced perfectly for effortless kick-turns.
D 1 BIAX STANDARD Our standard 90° biaxial fiberglass is designed to offer a forgiving ride and predictable torsional flex. It’s bombproof, reliable and perfect for all types of terrain and riders.
D 2 BIAX PLUS Biax Plus retains the properties of our tried and tested 90° biaxial fiberglass weave but we use more glass to enhance power transfer. It’s uncompromising in it’s response and energy return, and loved and coveted by riders searching for a good blend of stiff & damp wherever they rip.
D 3 TRIAX PLUS The result of extensive testing with our riders and engineers, our Triax laminate is oriented at 45° to the board, and contains different glass densities. This provides consistent torsional flex, better pop, and more reactivity on every turn.
E 1 FULLWOOD CORE This is our standard poplar core, with beech reinforcements. The beech in the nose and tail adds pop, stiffness and torsion. If you like a consistent ride with lots of life, this is the core for you.
E 2 MASTER CORE The Master Core construction is a product of our long history of experimentation in materials and woodcraft. It’s the perfect harmony of different wood densities and varieties (poplar, beech, spruce, and paulownia), resulting in a superior weight-to-performance-to power ratio, and an ultra-strong, extra-responsive, lightweight core.
E 3 LIGHT CORE Our lightest core – featuring three different wood types. The Light Core is a perfect combination of paulownia for lightness, poplar for pop and responsiveness, and hardwood beech stringers along the edges to increase core durability, pop and protection from edge impacts.
F 1 POP CARBON X Carbon fiber, laid up in an X patten just outside both insert packs, creates a playful and snappy feel. Energy is directed straight out to the contact points, and we’re able to create an extremely precise torsional stiffness pattern. This adds up to insane pop for ollies, which you’ll boost higher than ever. X marks the spot.
F 2 POP CARBON Strategic placement of carbon fiber from the tail to the rear inserts, and from the nose to the front inserts, resulting in a more reactive board, with increased pop and stiffness. Its vibration dampening qualities make it ideal for more aggressive riding in all conditions.
F 3 POP CARBON PLUS Pop Carbon Plus means we use a double amount of Pop Carbon, placed on both sides of the core and running tip to tail, which creates twice the amount of pop and liveliness.
G 1 N-5000 The N-5000 is our universal base. It’s designed to absorb wax to retain it longer. Exceptionally durable, this base will take you anywhere.
G 2 N-7000 Developed exclusively for Nidecker, the N-7000 is an extremely tough, sintruded base with added carbon nanoparticles that provide exceptional glide.
G 3 N-9000 Produced with carbon nanoparticles, the N-9000 has a very dense molecular structure, which makes it our fastest, most durable base material.
H 1 3DN-CONCEPT Our 3D N-Concept takes snowboard construction to the next level. A unique core outline between the inserts allows the board to flex differently under each foot, delivering the ultimate feeling of control and a three dimensional riding experience you won’t find anywhere else.
H 2 FREEFLEX 3.0 By reducing the wood and fiberglass in the nose and tail, but reinforcing them with lighter, stronger materials, our unique Freeflex 3.0 technology allows us to significantly decrease board weight, while simultaneously increasing strength, durability and pop. It also dampens vibrations and provides an extraordinarily light feel when transitioning between turns.
H 3 SIDEKICK SideKick lifts your edges at the widest points of the nose and tail resulting in increased float in powder, smoother riding in rough terrain and effortless turn initiation.
H 4 EVOLUTION NOSE Our 3D curved tips give an incredible feeling of rolling from edge to edge. The most natural and smooth feeling you’ll ever experience on a snowboard.
H 5 DROP OUT The Drop Out is derived from a natural phenomena we observed on the tail of birds of prey to give them extra control. It does the same for you when up on edge, but also allows for extra agility and deep, tight turns.
RECLINING HIBACK:
The Reclining Hiback creates the fastest automatic entry system. It fully folds down, creating a large opening to conveniently drop in your boot.
This technology was developed to allow easy opening and closure in complete safety. Multiple notches allow the binding to lock shut from the first click; there are three in total, which allow closure even if obstructed by snow accumulation.
QUICK & CONVENIENT
Like a two-strap binding, just more convenient. Drop your foot in and the binding closes by itself. Push the lever to release.
ANY CONDITIONS
Just in case you’re in steep or off-camber terrain…or waist deep powder.
ANY BOOT
Works with every single snowboard boot on the market today.
SLIP-N-GRIP PLATE:
Reduces friction with the outsole of your snowboard boot. Allows you to easily slide in and out, without compromising the underfoot comfort of our 2.5° Bankbeds.
ACTIVE-STRAP:
As you recline the hiback, the footstrap gets actively lifted out of the way, so you can easily and conveniently get your boot in and out. The straps hug your boot with the tightness at which you first set them, each & every time you drop in.
HEELCUP ROLLER:
The heelcup roller reduces friction and guides the heel of the boot down, for buttery-smooth entry and exit.
LSR BUCKLES:
Locking Slap Ratchet buckles lock down to secure your preferred footstrap tightness. Either Set-it and Forget-it for the Automatic mode, or just use them like regular buckles for the two-strap experience.
HYBRID STRAPS:
Designed to feel and work like a two-strap, the Hybrid strap’s ankle-toe connection keeps the straps in place for easy entry. It also transfers energy more efficiently and allows the straps to be ridden a bit less tight.
RELEASE LEVER:
Push to unlock the engagement system and lift your boot up & out. The release lever is located on the medial side of the baseplate for maximum ergonomic efficiency and protection from external triggers.
HEEL PEDAL:
The heel pedal activates the automatic closing of the hiback and straps, and locks the engagement system. This mechanism is self-cleaning to avoid snow build-up, and there are three engagement clicks for increased security.
Using the Flow Axis-Series baseplate as the footprint, we designed our Nidecker bindings to match our boots perfectly.
A 1 FIXED HEELCUP The glass-filled, nylon heelcup is firmly fixed to the Axis.N1-Series base forming a strong and rigid unibody-style baseplate. It’s the perfect choice for riders looking for a precise, comfortable, all-terrain binding.
A 2 BANKBEDS BankBeds are full-length EVA footbeds with 2.5º canting to take the pressure off the outside of your knees for optimized fit, support and energy transfer.
A 3 ROCKERED CORNERS The rockered corners on the Axis.N1-Series are designed with added cushioning closer to the center-axis of the snowboard. This helps the board maintain the best, most natural flex possible.
A 4 OFF-AXIS POWERBEAMS Off-axis PowerBeams on the Axis.N1-Series align closer to the toe and heel edges of the snowboard, if the binding is mounted at an angle on the board, for more efficient power and energy transfer for effortless and effective riding.
A 5 OFFSET MULTI-DISK All adult and youth bindings feature our OFFset Multi-disk. so right out of the box, these bindings can be mounted on 4x4, 4x2, 3HP and the M6 Channel without the need for an accessory channel-disk. The hole patterns are offset from the center of the disk for more toe-heel or stance-width adjustability.
B 1 AXIS N1-SERIES CARBON Stiffness and immediate energy transfer are scaled up drastically via the carbon-infused nylon material, which is a huge 230% stiffer than the regular Axis baseplate. Rockered corners protect your topsheet, and a natural-feeling connection is assured from the asymmetrical shape.
B 2 AXIS N1-SERIES Inspired by a quarter-century of Flow knowhow, the Axis baseplate matches Nidecker boots perfectly and provides solid, damp and dependable response. Rockered corners protect your topsheet, and a natural-feeling connection is assured from the asymmetrical shape.
B 3 UNIBODY Smooth, stable & durable, the Unibody construction is perfect for young riders – lightweight and forgiving. The mounting-system is integrated into the baseplate, which removes the need for extra disks and screws.

EXCLUSIVE TECH
GET UP-CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH YOUR BOOT.
Two of the critical keys to comfort are fit and feel, which we’ve perfected by using our proprietary and anatomically shaped inner and outer FlowFit lasts combined with high-tech, ergonomic and asymmetric construction.
Along with the other innovative technologies we’ve developed, they give our boots their perfect fit, specifically designed for all-day, all-mountain riding comfort for all levels of snowboarder.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT BOOT
FIT, FEEL, & PERFORMANCE
No matter how often someone rides, how good they are or their preferred riding style, boots are integral pieces of equipment. It all starts with the feet. If they hurt or are cold, snowboarding isn’t nearly as much fun, and it’s what will happen if the boot is too small or too big. To choose the correct pair of boots, remember we use the MONDOPOINT baseline to establish our EU, US/M, US/W and UK sizing equivalents.
LAST
A CLOSURE SYSTEM With our external closure systems, we focus on effortless ease of use, support, comfort and precision fit. We create a natural sensation by removing bulk and designing ergonomically targeted lace-paths. We partner with The Boa® Fit System, and no matter which one of the configurations offered in our range you prefer, our boots are sure to meet your needs. The Boa® Fit System provides quick and easy custom comfort with a smooth and even closure, with no pressure points. Our Boa® laces use unique form-fitting TX3 textile, dials and laces are guaranteed for the lifetime of the boot.
A 1 VELCRO The velcro closure system provides the perfect custom fit for growing feet.
Water-resistant PU and mesh cover with zipper. Stretchable material at the top to ease closing of the boot. Keeps feet dry for long days in deep snow conditions.
ASYM3F: FIT FEEL FLEX. An asymmetric shape and closure system for optimum support and flex. Aligned along the asym tongue, Boa® lace guides are asymmetrically positioned on the flatter forefoot areas for less point-loaded pressure and more even closure. Increases medial arch support to reduce foot fatigue and cramps. This Nidecker innovation is codeveloped with and approved by Boa®.
Our new last is the keystone of the boot, and we believe this creates the best fit in snowboarding today. We landed on an 8° forward lean - the sweet spot between comfort and performance. In addition, 1:1 Lasting means a specific liner, shell and footbed for each full and half size, zero compromise. And of course our women’s boots, men’s boots and youth boots use completely different lasts for full anatomical accuracy.
FLEX
Flex is a combination of stiffness, shape, thickness and density of the shell materials. The higher the level snowboarding, the higher the levels of stiffness and flex must be. You must also take into account your preferred riding style (freestyle, freeride, carving). We rate using an easily-comparable slider which goes from SOFT to STIFF.
Powered by the external side dial, the double lace goes through an internal harness attached to the shell and tongue. When you tighten it, creates a three-dimensional ankle lock. Lateral tightening from the harness around the ankle ball, and frontally from laces which pass through the tongue, lowering it downards against your instep.
The upper boot cuff is asymmetrically connected to the lower boot allowing the ankle to flex naturally while providing support without shell distortion.A thermal insulation barrier between the outsole and the bottom of the liner keeps the warmth inside and the cold outside.
Our Exo-Spine Technology is an external backstay designed to be a reinforced link between the different parts of the boot and deliver an instantaneous transfer of force from heel to toe. also offers extra stiffness for optimal support, as well as increased durability. It tessalates to the outsole via our Transition Zone, which means you won’t hook up on binding heelcup when you unstrap and lift up.
The asymmetrical tongue is 3D molded and curved towards the medial side, following the naturally raised ridgeline of your forefoot to alleviate pressure points and give a more balanced feel of comfort and support. An anatomically correct and asymmetrical tongue performs better than standard straight one.
Shock-absorbing dynamic gel pads are inserted into the outsole around the heel area. This special cushioning system reduces fatigue from chatter or big landings, and improves overall comfort.
Our new last is the keystone of the boot the best fit in snowboarding today. We landed on an 8° forward lean the sweet spot between comfort and performance. 1:1 Lasting means a specific liner, shell and footbed for each full and half size. Women’s, men’s and youth boots seperate lasts for full anatomical accuracy.
A thermal insulation barrier between the outsole and the bottom of the liner keeps the warmth inside and the cold outside.
This 3D toebox eliminates extra layers and seams around the forefoot for durablility and a streamlined, bulk-free design. It also makes easier to slide in and out of your bindings.
Armor-tech is a TPU strip which wraps around the front of the boot to shield the material from abrasion, protect your toes when you’re kicking in steps, and means your boot packs out less.
Protects the back part of the the outsole and the boots from wear. The lower part, called Transition Zone, tesselates with the outsole to make easier to get into and out of bindings hook-free.
Powered by the tongue BOA. Tightening the tongue reel tightens the very top laces and the external heel-lock wings.

A 2 TRADITIONAL LACING Traditional laces allowing precision closure eyelet by eyelet. Special Speed Hook clasp locks in tension on the lower part.
A 3 SINGLE DIAL BOA® The Boa® Single Dial puts the Boa® dial over the tongue to provide strength and tightening ease - just one reel for the entire shell, upper & lower..
A 4 HYBRID TRADITIONAL LACING Traditional laces allowing precision closure eyelet by eyelet. Special Speed Hook clasp locks in tension on the lower part. Sidedial BOA adjusts an Internal Heel Lock harness, which immobilizes the ankle and prevents heel lift in three dimensions..
A 5 DUAL ZONE BOA® The Dual Zone Boa® uses a dial over the tongue, for strength and power to close the upper, and the mid-power dial on the side to close the lower. This configuration provides independent zonal adjustment, snug fit and perfect support.
A 6 DUAL ZONE BOA® EXTERNAL HEEL-LOCK Tightening the tongue reel closes the very top laces and the external wings, which provide diagonal downward force by folding inwards, mechanically prevent the heel from lifting. Then, the side BOA tightens the lower part of the boot.
A 7 HYBRID TONGUE CLOSURE The tongue BOA closes the upper and lower parts of the shell. Then, the side BOA dial activates a double lace which routes through an internal harness connected to the shell and the tongue. When tightened, creates a really «locked-in» feeling and provides 3D heel immobilization. On both sides, it locks laterally via the ankle ball harness, and frontal closure is ensured via the laces which pass through the tongue, securing the tongue down towards the instep.
B 1 M4 The Boa M4 system provides the perfect balance of performance and ease.
B 2 H4 DIAL Ready for anything, designed to withstand. H4 resists impacts from the most demanding riders tried and true.
B 3 H4 COILER™ Effortless and fast, the Coiler quickly takes up lace slack, increasing speed of entry into the boot. Ready for anything, designed to withstand.
C OUTSOLE Nidecker outsoles are designed to provide the excellent grip needed to walk and hike in any type of winter condition, and to be perfectly compatible with Nidecker bindings. Our Bare Foot Technology (B.F.T.). B.F.T. outsoles utilize materials that maximize the natural feel between your feet and the terrain, and are the perfect conduit between you and your board.
C 1 GRAVITY Made out of lightweight and durable EVA, we shaped the lugs in the same way as the rest of our outsoles by taking cues from our mountain playgrounds, then adapting them to give you as much grip as possible.
C 2 GRAVITY+ This outsole comes with a full EVA bed for natural cushioning. We also added a soft rubber toe tip for extra grip. And if you look at the lugs, we got inspiration from the treads you see on snowcats. The result? Maximum comfort and awesome grip.
C 3 ASCENT This rubber outsole comes with full EVA midsole for comfort, and an OC-Kush insert to smooth out big landings or chatter. We designed new tread with a wavelike pattern inspired by the gecko’s feet for maximum grip.
C 4 VIBRAM® APPROACH Our top-of-the-range outsole comes with a full EVA midsole for the best possible comfort under the whole foot. An OC-Kush insert gives excellent dampening under the heel. The highlight is the new Vibram ICE-TREK compound, which is the best rubber available for cold, icey or snowy surfaces. Extra grip at toe and heel was inspired by fish scales.
D LINER Our Gold, Silver and Bronze Level liner ranges feature specially developed foams. They will self-mold over time or they can be heat-molded in the shop for an excellent custom fit. Furthermore, our liners feature improved constructions for great heel-hold and durability, as well as a more comfortable feel, keeping your feet warm and dry. The top cuff of the liner and boot shell both feature our asymetrical shape, which accommodates different calf shapes and guarantees a perfect fit.

BRONZE LEVEL This liner has an integrated lacing system for consistent tightening, and a new lace lock system which is simple & low profile. Intermediate volumes around the ankle ball prevent heel lift. The Custom Flex Zone at the toe guarantees comfort and freedom of movement in the toebox. 8mm of PE foam guarantees excellent overall comfort, and you can heat-mold it for a great fit.
SILVER LEVEL Fully redesigned, this liner is pressure-point free; closure happens via the cuff attached to the shell inner. This also makes the liner a breeze to get on and off. To prevent tongue rotation, we’ve added Velcro patches on both sides to keep everything in place. There’s a Custom Flex Zone around the toes for wiggle room, 8mm of PE foam and added PU support around the outsides for extra stiffness.
D 3 GOLD LEVEL «Wrap-style» asym shape for no pressure points, better flex control and easy on/off. The Custom Flex Zone gives your toes wiggle room for warmth. Uses extra PU for lateral stiffness and efficient power transfer between liner and shell. On KITA and KITA-W, close via an internal cuff stitched inside the shell. On Index, use the Internal Heel Lock, via the side BOA reel.
E INSOLE The closer you get to the foot, the more critical the technology becomes. We design from the inside out, making our insoles a focal point in our testing and development.
E 1 REMOVABLE SHIM Specially designed for growing feet, this removable anatomically shaped EVA and fleece-lined footbed gives support and comfort for your feet. Cut it out when your child needs more room.
E 2 SINGLE DENSITY Pre-molded and anatomically shaped comfortable EVA supports your feet, and a silicone top-print adds traction to the fleece-lined footbed.
E 3 DUAL DENSITY An extra layer of high-density EVA supports the deep heel cup and anatomical arch, while more comfortable EVA offers more flexibility to the forefoot. A silicone top-print adds traction to the fleece-lined footbed.
E 4 TRIPLE DENSITY An advanced anatomical shape in comfortable EVA with high-density EVA supporting the deep heel cup and arch, and special high-rebound EVA cushioning the heel. A silicone top-print adds traction to the fleece-lined footbed.
