Gary Cutts | Challenge Director - Future Flight | Future Flight, UKRI The £300m Programme Through to 2023/24 to Research, Plan & Demonstrate New Integrated Systems of Aviation Using Low-Carbon & Autonomous Technologies The Future Flight Challenge proposal forms one of the UK Government’s Challenge programmes executed by UKRI. It involves a £300m programme through to 2023/24 to research, plan and demonstrate new integrated systems of aviation using low-carbon and autonomous technologies. The intent is to create a system-of-systems demonstration covering innovative regulation/airspace management, ground-to-air infrastructure and new service concepts for novel aircraft such as drones and Advanced Air Mobility vehicles. It will create a real-world development environment for the 3rd revolution of aviation.

Jeremy (Jam) Hartley | Policy Specialist - Vertiports | UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Vertiports - Regulating Novel Aerodromes This seminar will give an overview of the many considerations on regulating vertiports and discuss present and future challenges. It will also give insight on how the CAA is working to ensure the timely integration of safe vertiport design into existing aerodromes, with a view towards future infrastructure developments.
