SITUATION OF THE MONTH

South Sudan Faces Most Fatal Flood in 60 Years South Sudan is experiencing its most disastrous flood in 60 years. More than half a million people residing throughout 36 residential counties have been greatly affected by this flood. The majority are now homeless and struggling to readjust to everyday life with this natural disaster. The flood was caused by heavy rainfall which overwhelmed the rivers and banks. Substantial rainfall from 2019 hasn’t subdued which is the reason flooding this year has been so severe. Unfortunately South Sudan hasn’t reached the peak of flood season so officials and aid organizations are preparing for the worst. See Full Article
