Holiday Sales Kicking Off Earlier Than Ever The massive crowds that storm retail environments on Black Friday and all throughout the holiday season are now out of the question amidst the global pandemic, forcing retail giants to reimagine the holiday shopping experience this year. With Amazon Prime Day being postponed from July to October, large retailers are following suit in an attempt to kickstart the holiday shopping season earlier than ever before. October has seen some of the nation’s largest retailers launch massive savings events that would typically arrive with Thanksgiving, but are now accompanying Halloween, like Target’s “Deal Days”, Old Navy’s “Giftober”, and Walmart’s “Big Save Event”.
