DECEMBER/JANUARY 2016

With that kind of clout, it’s easy to see why PGA WEST is often referred to as “The Western Home of Golf in America ®.” The courses have seen historical play during countless tournaments including Lee Trevino’s hole-in-one during the 1988 Skins Game at #17 “Alcatraz” on the Stadium Golf Course. Throughout the years, golf fans have flocked to the courses at PGA WEST to watch celebrities and professional golfers tee it up during the CarerBuilder Challenge. “With such rich history, we are proud to be the last new home development in PGA WEST,” said Thorne. “We currently have an active interest list and eight models are now open.” Signature at PGA WEST is a gateguarded community that will include three home collections, appealing to those seeking high caliber, resort living. Featuring Spanish-inspired architecture, the home designs incorporate open floor plans, spacious private courtyards & balconies or patios, plus top-of-theline finishes. The Villas feature one & two-story attached homes that range from 1,466 to 2,298 square feet. The Haciendas, offer gracious one & two-story detached homes ranging from 1,941 to 2,429 square feet. The Estates are luxurious one & two-story detached homes ranging from 2,528

to 3,479 square feet. Homebuyers at Signature at PGA WEST benefit from a private, staffed clubhouse, officially called “Signature Club” which opened in July 2015. Signature Club is the centerpiece of the community, boasting a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool & numerous recreational activities including bocce ball & shuffleboard. Residents can gather around the big-screen TVs & watch the game, or celebrate on the expansive patio & barbeque area. Signature Club also features a full kitchen and banquet space for entertaining. “We are excited about the design of the Signature Club. It’s a place where residents can relax & enjoy the sunshine, take part in recreational activities or just get together with friends & family,” said Thorne. In addition to full access to the private clubhouse, those purchasing at Signature at PGA WEST will have access to PGA WEST social privileges, sports & golf memberships. For more information about Signature at PGA WEST, visit online at www.signatureatpgawest.com or stop by the Sales Gallery, 56-151 Platinum Way, La Quinta, CA 92253. CareerBuilder Challenge PGA TOUR Event Offers Fun For Everyone January 18-24 magine sitting in Club 17, a sports bar-like chalet surrounding the tee at the 17th Hole (aptly named “Alcatraz”) at the TPC Stadium Course at PGA WEST. Like the 17th Hole at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, it’s a true test for even the best in the world. Picture yourself in the middle of the nail-biting excitement of this par-3 island green watching the PGA TOUR players hit their shots over a lake that seems to go on forever to a green that seems to recede just as quickly. Feel yourself jumping to your feet as the ball lands a foot from the ledge, then holding your breath as it struggles to stay on or cringing as it takes a dramatic dive into the lake. Enhancing the fan experience are

The CareerBuilder Challenge will

GolfBoard Surf The Earth At Tahquitz Creek ne of the most innovative inventions for golf since the graphite shaft, the GolfBoard is changing the way golfers experience the game. Powered by an environmentally friendly lithuim-ion battery, the GolfBoard is an easy-to-ride vehicle that adds a new level of fun and excitement for golfers of all ages, allowing golfers to ‘Surf the Earth’ in a way that feels similar to surfing, snowboarding, or skateboarding. Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort will be the first club in the Palm Springs area to offer GolfBoarding, partnering with GolfBoard to provide 20 boards this season for their guests to use when they play Tahquitz Creek. " We are constantly looking for ways to get people of all ages to pick up the game or motivate existing golfers to get out and play more, " said Brandon Alexander of Tahquitz Creek. Golfing with a GolfBoard, or ‘GolfBoarding’ as it is called, changes the golfing experience, without changing the spirit and traditions of the game—many strongly feel that GolfBoards will help bring more interest to golf and as a result, increase the number of passionate players to the sport. Looking to squeeze in a quick round? GolfBoards dramatically increases the pace-of-play while providing more frequency of rounds played. When compared to traditional golf carts, GolfBoards can cut the time of your round in half. Meaning, two rounds on the GolfBoard can be played under 5 hours! GolfBoards at Tahquitz Creek will be reserved prior to the day of play and the charge will be additional to the normal green fee.
