MEDIA FUSION” project

WHAT IS New Media is, well, EVERYTHING. Anything today that can capture the attention of a local, national, or worldwide audience can be turned into „CONTENT.

THIS CONTENT is then distributed thru television, radio, cable, DVD‟s, satellite, private news subscription services, and of course, social media and Internet services like Amazon and Youtube.

The most popular form today for distributing new media is the social networks online.

The “NEW MEDIA FUSION “ project to historically record the end of prohibition in the United States will incorporate local Spokane artists, writers ,musicians, videographers, bloggers, Facebook aficionados and gurus, as well as the traditional media markets in Spokane for one purpose: to record the end of prohibition in Spokane. The funding for this project will come directly from crowdsourcing, such as GOFUNDME. The funding will also be proposed to local Spokane entities. This project will also be proposed for additional funding to the direct sales post prohibition outlets in Spokane and Spokane County. The website would be produced and powered by the local Spokane television station KREM, which is an NBC and MSNBC affiliate. This project is modeled after an existing program in St. Louis, MO called LAUNCHCODE. The finished products will be a website, DVD, Facebook page, and Ebook with options for distribution thru NETFLIX, YOUTUBE, AMAZON, and other content streaming services. Those four will be the “fusion centers” for the content generated. All the content will be monetized. Ongoing content generation on the Facebook page in the form of podcasts and live video chats and “town hall” meetings, especially on any new and relevant developments in the Spokane post prohibition industry, will add to monetized content generation. Continued projects offer further employment for local Spokane artists and entities, as well as marketing for the Spokane area and the post prohibition industry in this region.
