THE G-CLOUD OPPORTUNITY
Starting in 2012 with around 230 suppliers, the G-Cloud Framework has been in place to help government organisations obtain best value from their IT spend. G-Cloud enabled entrant SMEs to offer their vast range of innovative services, which had previously not been available to public sector buyers. The straightforward and simple buying process, along with excellent guidance from Crown Commercial Service (CCS), has enabled two billion pounds worth of spend to go through the framework in the last seven years alone. However, this spend is below target levels*. G-Cloud 11, the latest iteration of the framework, went live in July this year and is made up of over 4,000 suppliers that have demonstrated a commitment to working with government organisations in order to showcase the benefits and cost effectiveness of their software and systems, and also the ease and transparency of procurement through the cloud. Government Business Magazine has worked with the Crown Commercial Service in order to explore and promote the benefits of using the framework throughout local government and the wider public sector. The G-Cloud Summit 2019 aims to further explore the opportunities to technology buyers. Meet the Buyer will enable a select group of suppliers to meet face-to-face with public sector buyers at a state-of-the-art venue. Public Sector Information will promote the Summit through Government Business Magazine - in print, online and via targeted email campaigns along with personalised delegate research which aims to ensure the calibre of each attendee. The Crown Commercial Service will engage through their monthly customer updates and by sharing with other relevant government departments. Opportunities to accelerate their presence on G-Cloud are being made available to 13 suppliers only.......
G-CLOUD MEET THE BUYER EVENT FORMAT The day will take the form of roundtable 30 minute meetings with representatives from the CCS and delegate public sector organisations. To ensure maximum benefit to sponsors, these have been divided into three main categories 1. 2. 3.
