WELCOME GF365
Welcome to GREENFLEET Scotland Thank you for joining us for the first GREENFLEET Scotland online event - brought to you by the team behind the GREENFLEET online event brand, GF365. 2020 marks 12 years of GREENFLEET in Scotland and we’re delighted you can join us again, under what are difficult circumstances. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected our daily lives in many ways, not least the current harsh restrictions on staging physical events - especially those that unite the entire fleet community allowing shared learning and collaboration. However, it has highlighted our increased need for online engagement, networking, knowledge building and self-improvement - this is where the GF365 series of interactive events come in. Our event – GREENFLEET Scotland - is for professionals looking to explore the very latest in ultra-low emission vehicle technology, charging and strategy. The event will outline the region’s own strategy, with comment from Energy Saving Trust and Transport Scotland, while public sector purchasing frameworks are brought to you by Crown Commercial Service and Scotland Excel. All of that will follow the primary keynote from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles. Not only that, fascinating project insight is delivered by Urban Foresight’s head of electric mobility, while clean vehicle technology news comes courtesy of Kia Motors UK and Volvo

Connected Kerb Connected Kerb offer a unique approach to electric vehicle charging infrastructure - one that champions sustainability and connectivity. We have designed a future-proof, sustainable smart cities infrastructure platform; it is the first of its kind, combining power and data at kerbside to enable charging and connectivity for electric and autonomous vehicles whilst supporting the application of advanced IoT technologies. The system is split between a subterranean Node Box that houses the intelligent componentry, and the above-ground charge points, which
are made from >80% recycled vehicle tyres and fit to existing street furniture. The charge points act as Wi-Fi / 5G access points, enabling air quality, traffic and other IoT sensors. The system can support wireless charging and has won a number of global awards for its focus on innovation and sustainability. Our focus is offering EV charging to those (some 45% in UK) who are unable to charge at home. We believe everyone should have access to EVs, and this inclusivity is crucial to realising a better, greener future for all people.

SPONSORS ubitricity Ubitricity: helping councils create convenient, low cost, reliable EV public charging networks There are 5 big benefits of driving electric: zero emission travel; torque-ontap acceleration; ultra-low maintenance; low fuel costs; charge-while-yousleep fuelling. But EV drivers without driveways battle to enjoy the last two: cheap and convenient fuelling. ubitricity is changing that. We’re helping councils place EV charge points right outside the homes of EV drivers who lack driveways. With our charge points inside the lampposts on their street, EV drivers can park up close to home and charge overnight. And they’ll pay much less
than the typical price of rapid chargers. Backed by strong established brands like Siemens, Honda and EDF, we deliver a smart, flexible, low carbon energy system by providing turnkey EV charging systems Anyone, from local residents to working vans, can use our smart EV charging system when they’re parked for a while. That helps charge point hosts, such as local authorities, businesses and fleet depots, to lead by example on our road to net zero. No wonder 24 councils have installed nearly 2,000 of our charge points for their residents and visitors! We believe we can provide electricity for everyone everywhere. So let’s talk about your sustainable transport plans.

Our award-winning Volvo cars continue to set new benchmarks in automotive safety and connectivity, and
we are committed to our industryleading vision for an all-electric future. We aim to continue leading the global automotive industry in safety technology, electrification and autonomous drive and we continually challenge ourselves. By the middle of the next decade, we expect to generate half of all sales annually from fully electric cars, one third of all cars sold to be autonomous driving cars, and half of all car sales to come through our subscription service.
