-------T H E R O A D T O 2 0 3 0 B E G I N S H E R E ------Welcome to GREENFLEET Scotland After 12 very successful years of continuous growth, ‘The Fleet Event for Scotland’ returns. Since we launched the event back in 2009 more than 4,000 fleet, transport, HR, environmental and sustainability professionals have joined us to hear the very latest Scottish transport and emissions legislation and discover which solutions can help them run a more efficient transport operation. As a result, we are proud to say that the event has played a significant role in helping Scotland become a ‘beacon of excellence’, in the UK… A region that the rest of the UK can look to and learn from. Much of the success is down to the continued vision, action and support of Transport Scotland, ChargePlace Scotland and the many local councils navigating successfully the net zero transport roadmap. And credit to them, they are not about to sit back and relax… They recognise that this is an on-going issue, with continued room for development and improvement, and as a result, we have worked hard to bring you GREENFLEET Scotland 2022. This year we will bring you the very latest from our ‘Partners’, together with one particularly impressive ‘Host City’, which is Europe’s most visionary EV city, so as a delegate, you will not only hear about the latest national

strategy, charging infrastructure investment and development but also a more local one, from Dundee City Council. In addition to that, we have Stephen and Holly from Scottish Water joining you to share their story of developing a large electrified fleet and with additional charge points being installed regularly, Scottish Water’s net zero strategy shows no sign of abating. With a variety of vehicle technology manufacturers on hand for you to chat with via the interactive webinar platform we are confident that GREENFLEET Scotland will not only help propel the industry forward, to a cleaner, brighter and more innovative future, but your net zero strategy too. A big thank you to all the organisations that support the event this year. We hope you have an informative day, and remember to post your thoughts and opinions to @GreenFleetNews using #GFScotland. Here is to a great event! Colin Boyton, Events manager GF365 & GREENFLEET Events

PARTNERS Transport Scotland Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland. Transport underpins how Scotland works and performs. Through the development of transport projects and policies we support our businesses, communities and services, connecting people across Scotland and beyond. Transport is a vital feature of the Scottish Government’s focus on increasing sustainable economic growth. Our remit incorporates: · Major public

transport projects · Coordinating the National Transport Strategy for Scotland · Liaising with regional transport partnerships, including monitoring of funding · Sustainable transport, road safety and accessibility · Aviation, bus, freight and taxi policy An agency of the Scottish Government, we are accountable to Parliament and the public through Scottish Ministers.

ChargePlace Scotland ChargePlace Scotland is Scotland’s national electric vehicle (EV) charging network, owned and developed by the Scottish Government, and funded in partnership through a public grant from local authorities and other organisations. We aim to install charge points across Scotland from Shetland to the Scottish borders, making owning an electric vehicle accessible for all Scottish drivers. The ChargePlace Scotland network has grown from 55 public charge points in 2013 to over 2,100 in 2022. All publicly available charge points are

displayed on a live map, which provides details about the location, type, status and availability of each unit. New charge points are installed regularly on the network, with the ongoing support of Transport Scotland. As an example, a further 164 electric vehicle (EV) charging points for public use are to be installed across Glasgow in 2022, after the City Council secured funding from the Scottish Government’s £60m funding pot. In addition, our network offers members significant moneysaving and EV charging benefits.

PARTNERS Scottish Water The Scottish Government declared a climate emergency in 2019, and its Programme for Government announced an ambitious plan to become carbon neutral by 2045. Scottish Water responded to this target by committing to net zero emissions by 2040, a full five years earlier. We recognise we will need to undergo a sweeping transformation over the next 25 years to achieve this. We have worked with a panel of experts, and our stakeholders, to

develop a trailblazing routemap, which sets out how we will lead our industry to net zero emissions by 2040 and beyond, and make a greater contribution to Scotland’s overall emissions ambition. All our activities are energy-intensive and drive emissions, and we recognise we must grow new capabilities and change our behaviours, and influence others to change, such as our customers, partners, and supply chain. www.scottishwater.co.uk

Dundee City Council To Dundee ‘Electrifying a City’ means change. Our city has been labelled Europe’s most visionary EV city and we are doing all we can to live up to this accolade. By 2032 all new petrol and diesel cars and vans are to be phased out in Scotland - eight years ahead of targets set by the UK government and with 21% of Dundee City

Council’s vehicles running on electric we continue to drive change. Add to this, a growing fleet of electric RCVs, a major depot charging station, the city’s EV charging infrastructure expanding exponentially and a number of renewable energy projects underway, sustainable innovation is at the heart of what we do. www.dundeecity.gov.uk

BVRLA The BVRLA has over 970 organisations in membership, all of whom operate in, or engage with the UK vehicle rental, leasing and fleet sectors. From small and medium-sized businesses to large PLCs, the BVRLA welcomes
