WELCOME After 4 successful years of taking the GreenFleet ULEV events around various cities and regions, we have finally arrived in Reading! Welcome to the Madejski Stadium, where today’s event is designed to help you move your transport operation over to a more efficient and cleaner version, by changing its DNA. Welcome to GreenFleet READING. Staged in partnership with the Reading Borough Council (RBC), supported by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), LowCVP and sponsored by Alphabet, this is the Forum put together to help the region’s fleet operators understand more about Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) solutions, and establish if this ever-evolving technology can be integrated into their everyday transport operations. RBC have underlined their commitment to improving air quality across the region, and with road transport in Reading accounting for the high levels of nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate emissions and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, action needs to be taken… NOW! A successful bid from RBC has secured £100,000 from the Air Quality Grant to install residential charging points… but this is just the start of the ULEV journey for the council and the region. And any organisation that operates cars, vans and trucks in the region has a role to play too, starting here! So, you may well be asking yourselves: “It’s all well and good saying that these ULEVs can help save the planet, and save us money, but do they really work?” This event will prove that they DO… Today’s event will allow you to make an ‘educated decision’ as to whether electric, plug-in hybrid, standard hybrid and/or gas-powered vehicles have a role to play in your everyday transport operation. So, let’s start that here today, at GreenFleet READING! We have been able to bring you this event, thanks to the help and support of Alphabet, together with the other sponsors and exhibitors you will meet here today. We have been fortunate to gather support from key players in the sector so that you can discuss your individual requirements and ensure that all your
questions are answered. If it is information on grants, future government policy and the way forward, we have the Department for Transport’s OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) on hand. Today’s event will give you that crucial ‘Touch, Taste, Feel’ experience, thanks to BMW and MINI, LDV, Toyota and Lexus and IVECO. Please also make sure you talk to Alphabet, one of the UK’s leading leasing companies for ULEVs. And be sure to talk to motoring journalist and EV owner, Quentin Willson, who will happily share his own knowledge and experiences with you, and will be joined by the RBC, OLEV and charging specialists. You will all get an exclusive 30-minute group session with all of them, individually, today. So, make sure you raise your issues, embrace the offerings here today, and then help us help you, in terms of making ULEVs a viable consideration for your business. Food and drink will be available, and the event will wrap up with a final Q&A, followed by the ‘Galaxy Giveaway’, where one of you will leave with a fantastic Galaxy tablet courtesy of us at GreenFleet. If you have any issues or questions, please see a member of the GreenFleet team, on reception. Any feedback you might have would be extremely welcome. Please email us at tanya.svilar@psigroupltd.co.uk We hope you enjoy your day. Colin Boyton GreenFleet Events Manager Printed on recycled paper

Electric Blue UK We provide integrated charger and electric vehicle (EV) services, powered by renewable energy into two high growth UK EV markets – 1. Licensed Taxis and 2 . Fleets (Public and Private Sector): 1Licensed Taxi Market – through our e-Taxi service There are over 281,000 licensed taxis in England, most of which are high emission conventional fuelled vehicles, all of which are under pressure to change to zero emission EVs. EB provides the data to create a business case to support the change, combined with, a dedicated rapid charger infrastructure and integrated support services for successful e-Taxi adoption.
Fleet (Public and Private Sector) Market – through our e-Fleet and Workplace Charger service. There are over 3.7m LGV (small to medium sized goods vehicle) in the UK, 96% of which are diesel. Only 0.14% are currently zero emission EVs. There are also over 940,000 registered company cars, however only 1.8% of new car registrations are EV. Just as for taxis, this is a large and growing market, which is under increasing pressure to electrify its operations, both to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices and the increasing imposition of Clean Air Zone (CAZ) charges. 2
