Technology Shortboard

Short / Fish The NSP Shortboards and Fishes are manufactured with a super durable E2 Epoxy construction.

We start with a high density 30 grams per liter Secure Cell E.P.S. core and a specially designed light weight, fiberglass mat and laminate them together with an expanding epoxy resin. This expansion creates a “micro sandwich” which helps give additional impact strength to the deck and bottom of the board.

Lastly, the rails of the board are hand glassed with an additional layer of fiberglass reinforcement after the molding process. The additional fiberglass/epoxy in this critical area of the board will protect from seam splits and rail dings.

The Shortboards feature a real pro-look with the hand wet-sanded, Performance Finish.The Fishes receive the classy Hybrid finish which combines shiny, polished rails and logos, with a wet-sanded, Performance Finish deck and bottom for increased board speed.

Funboard NSP Funboards are manufactured with a super durable E2 epoxy construction. We start with a Secure Cell E.P.S. core and a specially designed light weight, fiberglass mat and laminate them together with an expanding epoxy resin. This expansion creates a “micro sandwich” which helps give additional impact strength to the deck and bottom of the board. The decks of the 7’2” and larger sizes also combine lengthwise Uni-Fiber Strips which add tensile strength.

Lastly, the rails of the board are hand glassed with an additional layer of fiberglass reinforcement after the molding process. The additional fiberglass/epoxy in this critical area of the board will protect from seam splits and rail dings. A noticeable weight reduction has also been achieved this year in the Funboards thanks to continuous improvements in the laminating process.

Soft School Featuring a Secure Cell fused EPS core completely laminated with epoxy soft school are incredibly durable, lively and responsive boards. The outer deck and bottom are Polyethlene, foam on the deck and slick on the bottom. The deck features Crocodile skin, a non abrasive, rash free surface.

Finally to complete the safety and quality NSP Soft School is fitted with the genuine FCS Softboard system and M5 softflex fins. This industry standard 2 tab system is safe, replacements are universally available and are of the highest quality.

Secure Cell E.P.S. Core

Coco Mat Technology Coco Mat is the next generation of manufacturing technology. The Fish and Long boards use 30gm/liter Secure Cell fully fused EPS. Raw, unprocessed Coconut Husk (Coco Mat) is then applied between 2 layers of military grade fiberglass and Epoxy resin using a Patent Pending process created by NSP. The S.U.P are constructed with 15g/liter Secure Cell fused EPS and are reinforced with Coco Mat. All boards receive a hand sanded fluid finish and are tuned for performance individually during fine and final wet sanding creating a lustrous, lightweight, high performance finish.

DC Brushed Carbon It is the ultimate in lightweight, elite, high end production. NSP Brushed Carbon boards are the lightest, stiffest boards available and are designed to satisfy the most discerning paddler. This technology features vacuum bagged double biased Carbon fibre top and bottom. The deck is reinforced with a PVC sandwich to add durability and stiffness. To fully minimize weight the boards have not been painted and feature the custom hand sanded blue brushed carbon matt finish.
