EMOCY

This is a project that require us to design an educational toy for motor development, cognitive development, emotional development and social development.

In this project, my group member and I decided to create a educational toy which can develop the social skill and emotional skill among the kids in the age 3-4.

Based on our research, parents nowadays are stress of their works in daily lifes. Sometimes, they might out of control when facing their kids at home. This phenomena will indirectly give some negative impacts to their kids and family. The purpose of us to design Emocy is to help in social skills and emotional skills among the kids.

By suggesting an educational toy which focus on emotional development and social development, kids will learn how to differentiate the emotion of the people around them. Besides that, they are also able to learn how to interact with people carefully.

Material:

Emoji Cylinder

Ethylene-vinyl Acetate (EVA)

EVA foam has is soft and ergonomic to kids. It is waterproof which make the cleaning process more easier.

Material Body

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)

ABS is chosen as the material because of its good balance of properties / toughness / strength / temperature resistance coupled with its ease of moulding and high quality surface finish.
